Thank you, Fairy Tale :flowers:

A very interesting video where her message really came across.

A funny little detail I noticed is that she spoke fairly slow, presumably to get her message across. However, I have very often noticed that she usually speaks faster than this in Danish.

The fair dates were August 9 - 12. I cant find any news on Mary attending nor in the calendar. Does anyone know if she did attend on a private visit?

Thanks for posting dazzling, I agree Mary does look lovely today, she has a beautiful smile and I like her hair.
It is great for the new designers to meet Mary, I guess they will be hoping that one day they may see her in one of their outfits.

Quite an amusing review by Kate Finnigan. Mary gets it so right so often with fashion.

A video from TV2/Local Eyes: TV: Kronprinsesse Mary så på tasker - TV 2 Nyhederne

Security is pretty heavy. Apart from Mary's two PET officers, there were uniformed as well as plain clothed local security. Ekstra Bladet did whine about the local security interrupting them attempting to speak to Mary and others.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #06, 2013.
Trendy fra top til tå - Trendy from top to toe.
Written by Marianne Singer.

As you know Mary attended CIFF, at the Bella Centre and at designers nest, where she presented a prize to a new designer. This year it was Camillla Jæger-Jespersen.

Before Mary arrived at the Bella Centre, the manager, Arne Bang Mikkelsen said: "It means incredibly much that the Crown Princess is present today. From the day we had her a patron, we saw an interest from the press and buyers, which we had never experienced before".

After having been recieved by a flowergirl, appropriately attired in designer clothes, she watched the CIFF Kids Trend Show - The Time Travel, with children walking the catwalk. Then she went on a tour of the fair and had a chat with designers like Karen Simonsen, who owns Karen By Simonsen and also Trine Lindegaard, who designs mens clothes.
Afterwards Mary said: "The children's show was very inspiring. There were many good items and the children had a cosy and enjoyed being on. It was also really interesting and also to walk around and see the optimism there is in the business. Even though the face challenges there is a good positive view on the future. And that's lovely to feel".

And now for some details.
The rings Mary wore on her right hand, was from Ole Lyngaard and it's called Love Bands. In 18 carats white-gold with 43 brilliants on each ring.

The ear-thingy Mary had in one of her ears was from Line & Jo. Made in gold with little diamonds, it costs 6.200 DKK. (Around 1.250 $, give or take).

Her Aicha Crocodile clutch was from Carland Copenhagen and costs 8.000 DKK or some 1.400 $.

Her boots were from Maison Martin Margiela and costs 5.000 DKK = 1.000 $.

Mange Tak for that Muhler. A lot has been said in the past about how Mary has boosted international interest for CIFF and that is great for all the designers especially for new young up and coming designers trying to get noticed. Lets face it Fashion is a huge industry employing so many people. It appears that the Berlin fashion shows have also become a big event. So Milan and Paris are not dominating the market on their own any more.

You are welcome. :)

Yes, it's one of the major export sectors here in DK, so Mary attending CIFF dressed in Danish design is good for business.

Translation of the article from TV2:

Mary, who was wearing a lovely blue dress with white dots, walked around at the exhibition and visited the exhibitors.

- It's very sweet, very feminine, she said about a black dress that was shown at Ganni. But Mary continued to charm - It's also very lovely, this dress you are wearing, she said with a smile to one of the designers.

Later she visited the bag designer Sarah Sheikh
- I love those bags you can hang over your shoulder, it is handy when you have children.

Then Sarah Sheikh revealed that she actually are going to have a baby. - "Wauw congratulations, is it your first one?" a interested Mary asked and so was it time for a longer children-talk between the mommy-to-four and the mommy-to-be.

When it was time to leave the Bella Center Mary told - It has been very inspiring, it is a tough industry in a weak growth, but I saw much of optimism.

And here's one more video from B.T.

Apparantly ordinary looking women were used and Mary said afterwards: "They looked like they had fun and (they) did it really well. I thought the show was very good. It was good design which was novel and good for a feminine body and then I liked his use of models. I think it was nice to see that it was ordinry women with different bodytypes. It was a really good show, so congratulations to him (Mi-Ni-Ro)".

(...)

As usual PET and security are among the most well dressed gentlemen present.

- I cannot recall the CIFF getting such a massive coverage in the media before.
BT, TV2, DR1 are covering it comprehensively. Both with articles, pictures and on TV. Glansing the TV schedule there are a couple of hours or so tonight alone. - So our news, pics and video hunters will be busy!

I couldn't agree more!

Thanks, fairytale.

I can see she visited the Baum Und Pfergarten show and later the Bruuns Bazaar show.

She looks like she has a great time!! It isn't much Mary has visited the Copenhagen Fashion Week the last 2-3 years, but it looks like she today goes all the way :D
