:previous:thank you for sharing. :flowers: It looks fantastic.
An how lucky for Christian that his birthday lines up with the holidays ;)
Im sure the kids would enjoy Tivoli, i think pictures came out that they went there for Isabella's birthday (i might be mistaken it for somewhere else)

Plus they usually go to Trend, so I hope they enjoy it. Its been quite a busy week for Frederik and Mary :flowers:

:previous:

It is. And October means autumn holiday and Halloween in Tivoli. Mary attended the Mary Foundation's seminar in Tivoli Congress Center. Therefore the Halloween decoration in the background.

A beautiful sight when Tivoli is decorated:

Looking in the official calender it now seems like there will be autumn holiday for Mary, Frederik and children. With fits nicely with Christian 10th birthday on next Thursday. And maybe a trip to Halloween-Tivoli? :pumpkin1:

Thanks for sharing Roskilde. :flowers: I often think that most theme parks go a bit OTT with their Halloween decorations though Tivoli's are rather tasteful and almost magical. I have Copenhagen on my bucket list of places to travel to and I'd like Tivoli to be one of the first attractions I visit (as well as the royal palaces) if I ever do get the chance to go there.

How terrific! And such a good and important cause. Thanks for posting, polyesco! Hopefully we'll get lots of picture of Mary and Máxima together :D – I still remember their warm hug at QMII's birthday earlier this year, it seems like they're really enjoying each other's company.

Lovely. I always love to see royals in joint events.

I agree :flowers:
The Queen's birthday gave us such cute moments with the CP family and the various royals
And of course the excellent State Visit earlier this year from WA and Maxima to Denmark

A very important conference and I like that Mary is not only speaking at it but also the Mary Foundation is giving some workshops

How great news of Mary and Maxima on more joint events :flowers: I am looking forward to this conference. A subject which I know Mary and Mary Foundation is strongly committed to - she/they have also participated in the conference the recent years IIRC. Great to see the Mary Foundation will hold workshops during the conference.

The Mary Foundation has a press release too:

Indeed, at any official royal gatherings we can always count on seeing those two together. Nor do I forget the pictures of them with the arms around each other being photographed by Frederik at Victoria's wedding. And Frederik who whistled while taken the photo, he was satisfied with his motif :p

Or these pictures too.

Kronprinsesse Mary siger nej til mobning i fodboldklubben | billedbladet.dk

In a new study prepared by 'The Center for Youth Studies' for 'The Mary Foundation', 'Save the Children', 'Danish Football Association' and 'The Tryg Foundation' takes a deeper look into where and how children experience failure to thrive, and whether or not the volunteers adults are aware of it.
'The Mary Foundation', 'Save the Children', 'Danish Football Association' and 'The Tryg Foundation' launched in 2013 their welfare program 'Klubfidusen' aimed at children in the Danish football klubs. In order to focus on children's well-being, leisure activities and on how to concretely work with satisfaction as a volunteer, The Mary Foundation today held a conference:

ADDED 1:

TV2 has been kind and has posted the interview with Mary in tonight's 'Good'evening Denmark' online :flowers:

Unfortunately I do not have time to make a translation right now (if any other Danish members have better time so feel free) But what a commitment she has - it comes straight from the heart. She is a Crown Princess who makes a difference and whose work reaches out to the Danes.

The interview with Mary was also good covered in this mornings 'Good'Morning Denmark' news programme.

She seemed very proud when the journalist mentioned Prince Christian.

Yes she did. The interviewer Jes Dorph's son goes in the same school as Christian and also plays football in the same club. So Jes Dorph told Mary that he heard Christian is known to play really good football and has a strong football leg. Mary replied, "He will be very happy to hear that."

Monday, 26th October - Mary made an unofficial visit to Kildemose Christmas Seal Home

I just came across this comment on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/permalink....total_comments=9&comment_tracking={"tn":"R0"}

"The Crown Princess visited Julemærkehjemmet Kildemose (Christmas Seal home) this Monday and my daughter was VERY impressed with how lovely a person she is  It's great that our royal family is so interested in the whole population and would support up there where it hurts.
She was fortunate to present flowers and show Mary around, but my daughter seemed most impressed with the Crown Princess's naturalness and caring nature.
And as a born royalists I am, I was also a little jealous of my own daughter. "

:previous: Again tell how committed Mary is and how many unofficial events and private visits that are behind the scenes.

Today Crown Princess Mary holds Christmas reception for Mary Foundation partners. Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg pm. 15.00.

article from last week
Kronprinsesse Mary inviterer til julegløgg | BILLED-BLADET

"Both in 2013 and in 2014 commanded the Crown Princess on December 4 welcomed some 100 guests in the palace to Mary Foundation's Christmas event.
All invitees got donuts, mulled wine and a royal handshake and a few friendly words to you.
Mary Foundation, which has existed since 2007, currently operates several projects in different ways about fighting social isolation and loneliness, which in the month of Christmas in the midst of many families' most beautiful moments is always a big theme."

Mary and the Mary Foundation cooperate with the DR Ultra Gala on the important topics in the large show. And like last year, Mary participating in clips through the show. Let's hope the Mary Foundation publish the clips the coming days.

Last year, Mary also participated in the premiere of the DR Ultra Gala show in Jutland, but she also privately together with her own children visited the show in Copenhagen the week after :)

Thanks Roskilde and Polyesco :flowers:

In the video kindly posted by Roskilde, we see Mary along with the children write little advise in the guestbook. Mary's advise reads: "Remember you are worth something/you have a worth. - Believe in yourself".

It's estimated that 6 % of the boys and 10 % of girls between 13-15 often or very often feel lonely. - That's the highest number between 1988.

- TV Ultra, that hosted this gala, is a channel under DR1 aiming specifically at children in the school age and as such it takes up subjects that are relevant for children that age. I.e. friends, school, parents, annoying siblings, the first kiss, puberty and so on. But also very much current affairs.
Because many children, especially around 8-10 where they begin to pick up what is said on the news and read headlines, don't talk with their parents what it is all about. And if it's not a topic at school either, they only have their friends to talk about things that sounds very worrying but which they don't really understand.
That could be the current situation in Syria, the terror attacks or a referendum about DK abolishing some reservations in regards to EU (that's next week BTW). These are topics that are also brought up and involve children in that age group.
And even though TV Ultra IMO has a tendency to be a bit on the politically correct side, it's a good way to reach out and address these current issues.

Okay, I only have a few minutes. I saw the programme about the children Mary met.
It was worth watching in any case. Some of the children were walking excuses for even being allowed. Very low self-esteem for some of them. The stay at the home made a big difference.

Then came the news that Mary would be visiting. That was a funny moment with several of the children's eyes almost popping out!:eek:

Three of the children were selected for a more in depth talk with Mary. (That is covered in the BB article above). It was interesting to see Mary interact with the children. She's good, very good at getting the children to open up and listening to them..
It was of course a great experience for the children to meet Mary. There are some bragging point in being able to say you've met the future queen of Denmark, as the boy observed.

She really is.

She simply makes people feel comfortable and relaxed. A loving, down-to-earth and warm Crown Princess we have. It was strong, valuable words and advice Mary gave the children. You could almost see how the two girls' self-esteem grew miles in those minutes  And no neatly hand shaking when they had to say goodbye, no, they got a big warm hug.

It was a strong and touching documentary. Respect for the staff as well. The program will be one of the week's most watched.

**

Again a very pleasant and heartwarming impression we got of Mary, which can be seen in the thousand of comments from Danes on Facebook after the documentary ended:

A video of Mary: VIDEO Kronprinsesse Mary har følt sig ensom: Det er som at være i en boble | Nyheder | DR

In connection with a program to be shown on TV-Ultra (aimed at children and adolescent, which takes on all kinds of subjects) Mary and a TV-host known as Bubber (*) meets six children who tell her about their experiences and feelings of being lonely. It's actually very mature and well thought replies.

At the end Mary talks about her own experience of feeling lonely. That was in connection with the death of her mother: "The thing about feeling lonely. I've felt that myself when I lost my mother. It was like being inside a bubble. It was like you weren't understood any longer. The feeling about being lonely is pretty strong and pretty difficult to have up front/close to you. That I must say".

(*) Bubber, a phenomenon here in DK, for all sorts of reasons... He started out as an extremely popular children's TV-host and has since gradually moved on to cover other topics, including stretching his own boundaries - which are pretty narrow!
In some of the shows Bubber went on survival expeditions with a former special forces sergeant-major B.S. Christiansen, only known here in DK as BS. (BS is tough! So tough that Chuck Norris and Putin in awe refer to him as Sensei) BS was BTW Frederik and Joachim free-fall parachute instructor.
And I must confess that I have quite a few times been sitting in the couch with my legs up watching the episodes wondering, and half hoping, when BS would finally snap and kill Bubber... :D
- To my fellow Danes this rant will make perfect sense. ;)

Love both Bubber and Mary (and BS) They work together quite often and have done so in some years now.
I have seen many videos on YouTube about Mary's and the Mary Foundation's work with DR Ultra. It's a impressive way she has chosen to use her position.

New upcoming project in the Mary Foundation. Crown Princess Mary as chairman of The Mary Foundation with their successful preventive work against bullying now cooperate with Danish handball player Mikkel Hansen's foundation 'MH24' against bullying.

"Two of Denmark's most popular personalities will now cooperate in the effort to improve the welfare in Danish children's leisure.

It happens across their own initiatives in the form of Crown Princess Mary as chairman of the Mary Foundation's successful work against bullying and Mikkel Hansen's anti-bullying project MH24 - Association Mikkel Against Bullying.

3 out of 10 children who goes to a leisure activity has experienced to be left out, and every eighth child have completely stopped to a leisure activity because of bullying failure to thrive. And although handball is one of the most popular leisure activities among Danish children it should be even more fun to go to handball if you ask HRH Crown Princess and Mikkel Hansen.

The Mary Foundation and MH24 - The Association 'Mikkel Against Bullying' will involve other partners in the development of the project, including Save the Children Denmark and practitioners in terms of trainers. The plan is to develop a concrete well-being program, which can be tested in the summer of 2016 and offered interested clubs later this year.

The Mary Foundation and MH24 - The Association Mikkel Against Bullying became interested in each other's work in the spring of 2014 and since then has worked towards cooperation.

TV2 has been involved throughout the process. To all the board meetings, the Crown Princess Mary's conferences against bullying and Mikkel Hansen's anti-bullying camps for children.

Recently it culminated last week when TV 2's Thomas Kristensen interviewed Crown Princess Mary and Mikkel Hansen to a longer talk about the new project.

The result is the documentary "Mary and Mikkel against bullying" that can be seen on TV2 next Tuesday (January 19th) at 9.25 pm."

The full 5.30 minutes long video-interview with Crown Princess Mary, Bubber and six children has been published on the Mary Foundation's website:

You may also be lonely as a child, but how does it feel and what can you do about it? That is what Crown Princess and Bubber and six brave children talks about in this video which we have worked out together with DR Ultra. The interview was made as part of the DR's Ultra Gala 2015 which focuses on this very difficult issue.

Crown Princess Mary has the last four years worked with loneliness as part of her work in The Mary Foundation.

Thanks, Roskilde. :flowers:

Nice clip.

I notice how Mary starts out quietly by involving the children and setting the agenda. I.e. she starts out by saying that she imagines they should each tell about a period in their lives when they felt lonely. And then asking whether one of them would like to start, or perhaps she herself should start? But an older girl is bold enough to start first. - And then the whole thing is running.

Tonight, TV2 will send the programme "Mary and Mikkel against bullying."

Kronprinsesse Mary: I yderste konsekvens tager et barn sit eget liv - TV 2

Also in our daily morning news "Good Morning Denmark" there was a longer feature this morning and a mother and her children told that they are looking forward to test the new project.

In a follow-up study from 2015 figures shows that more than 3 out of 10 children have been bullied in their own clubs.

- These are some figures which indicate there's a real problem, but also a neglected problem, says Crown Princess Mary.

Because it's easier to opt out of a leisure activity. Here the young people have a choice. They haven't a choice in schools. You can't select the school from.

- But you can stop go to your leisure activities, so you can say that the problem disappears a bit 'by itself', says Crown Princess Mary.

- Yes, unfortunately, adds Mikkel Hansen.
