In the video kindly posted by Roskilde, we see Mary along with the children write little advise in the guestbook. Mary's advise reads: "
Remember you are worth something/you have a worth. - Believe in yourself".
It's estimated that 6 % of the boys and 10 % of girls between 13-15 often or very often feel lonely. - That's the highest number between 1988.
- TV Ultra, that hosted this gala, is a channel under DR1 aiming specifically at children in the school age and as such it takes up subjects that are relevant for children that age. I.e. friends, school, parents, annoying siblings, the first kiss, puberty and so on. But also very much current affairs.
Because many children, especially around 8-10 where they begin to pick up what is said on the news and read headlines, don't talk with their parents what it is all about. And if it's not a topic at school either, they only have their friends to talk about things that sounds very worrying but which they don't really understand.
That could be the current situation in Syria, the terror attacks or a referendum about DK abolishing some reservations in regards to EU (that's next week BTW). These are topics that are also brought up and involve children in that age group.
And even though TV Ultra IMO has a tendency to be a bit on the politically correct side, it's a good way to reach out and address these current issues.

It's great that our royal family is so interested in the whole population and would support up there where it hurts.
