The story is based on New Idea and as we all know that magazine rarely gets it wrong. ;)

I must confess I'm surprised, New Idea consistently prints stories that in most other countries would have their editor-in-chief appearing before a court on a weekly basis!
How do they get away with it?
 
. That story is nonsense.I've always considered F&M the most solid of royal couples.

Frederik: Yes, shouldn't we? Let's do it...
Mary: Yes let's do it... let us get started this show.... *

Then Frederik and Mary leaves the control room and enters the stage and welcome all (all this happpen while broadcasting live on Denmark's main channel in prime time.)
Frederik and Mary walks in and welcome and Mary just reach to say: "And then we hope that Kaare and Stephanie (the hosts) soon are on the stairs...."
And the hosts come running and apologize for the delay and then take over.

It was obviously planned, but really fun and a brilliant opening of the show and F&M have been praised for it - both by the tv-watchers and by the royal experts in the papers.

This year's Crown Prince Couple Prize will be on November 2.

"The Crown Prince couple will take the stage in ODEON, Odense, on Saturday, November 2, to honor outstanding achievements in arts and culture as well as social efforts. The award ceremony, which will be broadcast live on DR1, will be held in changing Danish cities, and this year the trip has come to Odense, which is undergoing an ambitious transformation from large Danish city to Danish metropolis.

The Crown Prince Couple's Awards 2019, like the previous years, is a festive evening with artistic touches centered on the Crown Prince Couple's award of four awards. The recipients of the Crown Prince Couple's Cultural Prize and the Crown Prince Couple's Social Prize will only be revealed during the ODEON show on November 2, while the two star prizes will be announced in time for the awards ceremony.

The Crown Prince Couple's Awards were established in 2004 as the Bikuben Foundation's wedding gift to the Crown Prince Couple. The purpose of the Crown Prince Couple's Awards is to highlight and recognize the extraordinary achievement in Danish, Greenlandic and Faroese culture and social work."

A bit understated considering it was the show's 15th anniversary (and nothing tops last year's opening :D), but lovely as usual. Both social awards sounded like good choices. I'm a bit more on the edge about the cultural awards but I guess that's just a matter of preference. I wonder when (if?) they'll begin to bring the children (or the two eldest at least). I'd thought this would be the year.

Edit (to add some background on the two awards that were given out at the show):

The Social Award was awarded to Bydelsmødre, an initiative to support minority women and help them integrate into their local community.

The Cultural Award was awarded to Elsa Dreisig, a very talented young Danish-French Opera singer.

Crown Princess Mary...

I doubt it but it's not possible to know what will happen to the award in the future.
That's up to the Bikuben Foundation.

The award was a wedding gift, the CPC choosea the recipients, there's an advisory committee but the money comes from Bikubenfonden.

Given that it's a wedding gift it would be logical to stay with the couple. Christian can get his own funds and awards at some point.
 
When the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2020 are awarded at Værket in Randers on Saturday 31 October, the choreographer Sebastian Kloborg and the social organization De Anbragtes Vilkår will be presented with the two cultural stardust Prizes.

It’s a long drive from Copenhagen.

I look so much forward to the Crown Prince Couple’s Award show tonight. Always a nice evening and so great persons/projects they always honour.
A jury in Bikubenfonden suggests F&M some ideas for who could receive their awards, but it’s the couple themselves who choose and decide in the end.

And a very strong and good new official picture of the Crown Prince couple!

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary have been allowed to sit close as they are in a 'kiss bubble', according to hosts Kaare Quist and Stéphanie Surrugue. Hereafter the Crown Princess leaned affectionately towards her husband and the Crown Prince to hos wife.
Crown Prince Frederik took up his speaking card to signal that they could kiss in peace ?

That's one of the things I love about the Crown Prince Couple's Awards. It are so royal and relaxed at the same time. Exactly like F&M - and they give us these relaxed little sweet/teasing moments between F&M and the hosts.

Like last year, The Crown Prince couple opened the live show themselves:

"- Everyone's everyday life has been turned upside down. We have had to keep our distance, where we are otherwise used to - and like - to be seen and be close to each other, it sounded, among other things, from the Crown Prince, who was supplemented by the Crown Princess:
- We have to an even greater extent seen and felt how important the efforts are for the socially disadvantaged. Especially now, where there is a greater risk that many more will feel lonely, and that loneliness will be allowed to take a hold, and where isolation is more extensive and feels so much worse.

In their welcome, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess emphasized the importance of a change in cultural life and social initiatives for all of us during the corona crisis.
- We owe a thank you to the many organizations and volunteers who have continued their work to make a difference for the socially disadvantaged, it sounded."

And to the show:
It was once again a good show and some really nice award recipients that F&M has chosen to support - both in art, culture and social work.

I would say tonight showed extra big emotions, tears, and gratitude. Maybe because of the difficult time we are all living in right now?

And F&M's down to earth and pleasant shape really come across in these sort of live broadcasts.

One of the most popular comments in one of DRF's posts on Instagram after tonight's show is this one:

“I'm not even the biggest into royality .....
But okay ... I'm blown away after tonight's broadcast .... of love for this couple!
TRH the Crown Prince Couple are so completely pleasant and sympathetic people to see, listen to and experience. They seem so damn down to earth and wise.
And just as two completely good people! It was expressed once again tonight during the Crown Prince Couple's Awards. A show where they pay tribute to the Danes. Fantastic award recipients this year! Denmark has without a doubt the best Crown Prince couple on earth.
