Today Crown Prince Frederik participated in a dinner event for businesses and Danish ambassadors from Asia at the Asia House, Indiakaj 16, Copenhagen, at. 18.30.

So far nothing :bang::bang: but hopefully tomorrow ;)
Here is some information on the Asia House in DK.
Asia House:
"Asia House provides a venue for activities that strengthen the ties between Denmark and the Asian countries" :flowers:

:previous:

Let us hope. But under the "press opportunity" for this event there was not written anything. Because Frederik's event is 'out of Amalienborg' I guess will get pictures though. But it is not unsual with those dinners. The coming two dinners Mary has in the calender there will be 'no press opportunity' as well.

Here we have a picture of Frederik - and notice how he avoids getting his hands wet but placing them securely in his pockets. :p

After the dinner Frederik was supposed to go out back with the other guests to admire a sculpture of an elephant decorated by PH. But just as they were to go outside the sluices of the heaven opened and Frederik opted for admiring the sculpture from a distance - and thus stay dry.

- Yes, it's started raining again here in DK. Big time! I've seriously considered wearing flippers and a snorkel when wheeling the garbage out to the road - just in case...!

And now for something that will please Polyesco & Roskilde.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #35, 2015.
Written by our man in the hills Ulrik Ulriksen.

Your Frederik took part in opening a PGA European Tour match at Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort in Northern Jutland.
The match, even though it didn't attract the top names, has turned out to be a considerable success. Especially hole 15 has now become famous in golf-circles.

But on this day Frederik was a member of a golf team called: Two Kings and Two Crown Princes, and it consisted of Frederik, a racing driver, Tom Kristensen, the golfer, Thomas Bjørn. Lars Larsen a billionaire and instrumental behind the resort (he didn't play though due to an injury) and his son, Jacob Brunsborg.

Thomas Bjørn praised Frederik for having the courage to play in front of so many people: "It was obvious to anyone that the Crown Prince doesn't get to play a lot of golf. But for an event like this it's important that he takes part. His presence attracts both spectators as well as sponsors".

The match lasted almost six hours and the mood was fine, Frederik was cheered basically no matter where his ball went. And he did great some times and at other times saboteurs had placed shrubbery where his ball landed.
Alas, Frederik's team didn't win.

Frederik said afterwards: "I think it went better for me than last year. That is among other things due to me having new clubs and that I got good help from an experienced caddie" Referring to his caddie, Camillia Brok, who plays in Frederik club The Scandinavian in the town of Farum, north of Copenhagen.
"But golf is a challenging game. Under all circumstances I think it's nice to be back. The course have over the past year been adjusted and seems even better now.
My own children will be introduced to golf but we haven't done so much about it yet. That'll come. My mormor, Queen Ingrid, introduced me to golf and I was fond of that". Frederik admitted he hadn't done a lot of training prior to the match.

At hole 16 Lars Larsen remarked jokingly to Frederik: "Well, now you've learned (how to do) it".

...
Thomas Bjørn praised Frederik for having the courage to play in front of so many people: "It was obvious to anyone that the Crown Prince doesn't get to play a lot of golf. But for an event like this it's important that he takes part. His presence attracts both spectators as well as sponsors".

thank you Muhler. always so thoughtful :flowers::flowers:
Its nice that they give coverage and nice to read that his participation helps bring in sponsors. Always to promote Denmark, great!
plus he looks great in golf attire :flowers: since him being in a suit and attending audiences and business meetings leads to little photos ;)

I remembered a picture of a young Frederik with Queen Ingrid, pulling a golf clubs near by

Here are more details on the extreme run Frederik will take part in tonight at 19.00 (three hours after this is written). Kronprins Frederik deltager i ekstremløb for supermotionister | billedbladet.dk

There will be three on his team.

Once the race starts they will know nothing about the route, obstacles, length of individual challenges or anything at all for that matter.
As Roskilde wrote they will at some point have to row, rappel, swim, raft, roll, cycle and run.
It's called a 24 hour extreme run, but the category in which Frederik belongs are expected to complete within fourteen hours, but they are allocated eighteen hours max to complete.

I read from the homepage: Distancer | YETI Adventure Challenge
That Frederik has signed up for the master-category

They start out for two hours at 19.00, just to get the blood rolling. Then there is a break until 03.00 when the fun really begins! - If they don't finish before 19.00 - too bad...

The weather should be dry and fine tonight and tomorrow.

- Wonder if Mary will have time to catch a lift on a helicopter going to Naval Operation Command in Aarhus? From there it's only an hours drive to Silkeborg, where the race takes place. I think Frederik could need a little support from his family from around noon tomorrow.

Thanks, Polyesco. :flowers:

Part of the challenge is probably having to crawl through drainage tunnels. Probably with some water still streaming through.

This should remain Frederik about his time in the Frogman Corps.
Do we know who the other two teammates are?

:flowers:
thanks...well i hope he and all the others take a long shower after this ;)

not sure about his companions
i thought this one might have been his private secretary but im not sure at all

Video and article:
TV 2 | ØSTJYLLAND | Brugte 17 timer på løbet | Nyheder | Silkeborg

Well done, Frederik. He and his team crossed the finish line after about 17 hours of running, swimming, biking, climbing, rowing, riverrafting, shooting and much more.

Frederik participated together with Morten Roland and Claus Staldknægt. The team was in front in the beginning, but unfortunately they came behind when they during the night run a wrong way - they should find way themselves with a map.

In the video you will se a voluntary Danish woman who shared coffee to the participants of the arrangement. She says she also asked Frederik's team and Frederik immediately said a big: YES thank you!

At 0:55 you can hear another Frederik-fan calling: Frederik, Fred-er-rik while taken a picture of him.

Frederik said after to BB with a huge smile:
- "It was hard, but a great experience."

Thanks Roskilde & Polyesco. :)

Well done, Frederik.

I guess Frederik has been so busy that he hasn't had time to be tired!
As far as I have been able to work out during the combined seventeen hours he was in action he (and his team) were:
Running.
Cycling.
Canoeing.
Rafting.
Climbing through drainage channels/tubes.
Climbing up and down buildings.
Waterboarding.
Orienteering.
Shooting bows and arrows.

- I bet he has fully enjoyed himself.
However, it wasn't just for fun he took part. Silkeborg town is trying to brand itself as the outdoor place of Denmark, and considering the scenery there it's an ideal place, so it is very much hoped that the attention created by Frederik taking part will help kickstart things.

I guess it's daddy who controls the TV and the remote control today. If he is smart, he lets his wife and children choose a movie, maybe a cartoon, then daddy can close his eyes a little now and then :p

:previous: I'm pretty certain Frederik was willing auction off his legs last night. :D

And for a cheap price :p

Frederik praised by the people watching the race, one of the comments mentions:
"This, it was so touching to see. We have a Crown Prince of format in all ways. Such one who takes the time to talk to school students out on the route and implement even if it was a long route for the AR debutants."

Muhler, would you please explain 'waterboarding?' As an American, the only waterboarding I know about is a controversial interrogation method used on prisoners. I'm sure it has a different meaning in Denmark.

Well, it may be a misunderstanding by me. I'm under the impression that standing on a kind of surfboard but rowing your way forward is called waterboarding. - Perhaps I got that wrong? :ermm:

Waterboarding is any sport on the water where one stands on a board or ski of any kind. The context in which the word is used should be sufficient to distinguish the different meanings.

OK - I have seen that, but I thought it was called paddleboarding. In any case, thanks for the explanation.

I think CP Frederik's sister-in-law Jane has gone off the 73 metre high Wrest Point Casino tower, in Hobart, for charity Muhler.

Maybe they can go as a team next time.

Triple team perhaps, because Mary has done some rappelling too. Was it with the Home Guard?

ADDED:

I'm somewhat disappointed by the lack of coverage in the national papers. But then to the tabloids BT and EB and the Copenhagener papers Berlingske and Politiken central Jutland is extremely far away! This is where people with big ears play banjo and typically only have two grandparents. :p

You may think it's cool of Frederik rappelling down from the city's tallest building. What I think is even more admirable is that he ran all 15 floors up by the stairs

this is so great to read. Having the support of the people and that they too like Frederik participating in these events, especially around Denmark.
Im sure the organizers of the event were more than happy that he created more attention and competed.

17 hours and he still has the beautiful smile
