Oh yes! :ROFLMAO: Isabella has such a bubbly and lively personality, I think that adds to her cuteness. That's my favourite photo from the event. Perhaps Estelle of Sweden and Isabella could form a 'Best Royal Facial Expressions' club. They would be an amusing pair. And I agree, it would be nice to see The Twins join their older siblings at Find Your Way Denmark next year. :)

In these pictures and videos, Christian looks more like Mary but has Frederik' mannerisms; while Isabella is identical to Frederik but with Mary's mannerisms. lol

The device on their index fingers is a chip, nowadays you no longer punch cards at orienteering.

Let's have a look at the whole interview, that gave us a good view at how confident both Christian and Bella are in dealing with the press.
From 1:00

Christian: "I think it was fun".
Q: What was your (informal you) time?
C: "That was, eh, 19:06".
Q: Prince Christian, how is it to win the family sport?
C: "I don't know".
Q: Prince Christian, how was the terrain out there? How was it to run up and down out there?
C: "That was...that was fun, but sometimes it was a bit (exhausting)...(big sigh)".
Q: Did you get pains in your side? (No Google translate word for that one, any suggestions? You all know what it is).
C: "Yes, I did".
Frederik: "Yeah, it's a hilly track, that you can say".

Q: Princess Isabella, how was it to struggle through..?
Bella: "That was kinda hard... It was hard".
Q: Were your older brother in your way?
B: "Nah, he wasn't".
C: "I was mostly up front, so I wasn't in her way".
Q: How is it to run based on such a map?
B: "It's fun...".
C: "She didn't really have a map".
B: "Noo".
Mary interjects that she apparantly did and Christian turns towards Mary: "I didn't see it".
Q: What was your time, Isabella?
M: "19.24".
B: "19:24".
Q: That was really good. - And what was the Crown Princess' time?
M: "Right behind".
B: "Mor (= mum), I was faster than you".
M: "I think it was really cosy".
B: "Mum, I was faster than you".
M: "That's right. You were".
Q: What does it mean to you (formal you), to do something active with your children?
M: "I think... - This is a really good way. It's the first time, I've been here. It was very fun to try it, and it kept focus on something else than just running, and phew, it's hard. So I think it's a really good way to excersize".
Q: Was it hard to find the posts?
C: "No. - No"!
M: "They did really well".
F: "They did fine".
Q: Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, You've been really good out there today, how are you going to celebrate that you have run so well today?
C: "We are actually going out to find Easter eggs..." (a recent costum here in DK) - (Can't make out the rest).

I see Bella got a sweatshirt from Søllerød Orienteering Club.

I really like how Mary and Frederik let Christian and Isabella be the frontfigure in the interview in such a natural way. They learn it slowly step by step and always looks very confident. They correspond so natural that Christian even got revealed the family's private planes after the race. They have apparently spent the afternoon going out to find Easter eggs ;)

Thanks to all for the many links and to Muhler for the translation.

Lovely family day with a couple of very proud parents. Christian and Isabella are sweet, happy and confident children. I like that Mary and Frederik allow them to have a small interview and that Isabella was pleased to run faster than her mum.
 
It is indeed amazing how Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary are allowing their children to interact with the media and the press so that they are confident and not afraid. I think that the CP Couple of Denmark are an exception in this case as I don't see children from other royal families in these kinds of circumstances.

I see the other Scandinavian crown prince couples do it too. little by little.
Estelle at 2 has gone to a lot of formal events.
Also Haakon has taken Ingrid-Alexandra on a TV interview/show. recently he also took Severe-Magnus on a event too

I think its their style, show them a bit so they can get use to it but also for the press to leave the kids alone during private times or at school. :flowers:

The royal press in Denmark also seem to be a pretty civilized, unthreatening bunch. A relatively small group of people, not shouting or tripping over each other trying to ask their questions, giving the children plenty of space and time to answer. Also, I imagine Christian and Isabella are familiar with the majority of the people asking questions and taking pictures.

It's great they can experience these early interviews as pleasant experiences.

Possibly some are interested in the how far Frederik, Mary, Christian and Bella ran?
There were three different routes (the short, the medium, the long) and the family chose the medium route of 2 kilometers.

Here are their times: Christian reached the finish line after 19.06 minutes. Isabella along with mom and dad (but some seconds before mom of course :p) after 19:24 minutes.

That was the light track. You can comfortably walk two kilometres in twenty minutes.

The medium tracks were between 4-5 KM and that seems more plausible in relation to their time. I.e. running at a speed of some 10-12 Km/H.

Thanks, they are great photos and both children enjoy their time in the outdoors.
 
The leaflets Christian and Bella look at after completing the run, are akind of Q&A of orienteering, for children.

And there was extra security. Two PET officers in running gear and two in civillian.

Written by our outdoors reporter Lisbeth Grube.

It was a chilly day, when the family showed up for the run, and Isabella was a little cold, so she snugged up to mother, who put her arms around her daughetr to warm her and also made sure someone went to fetch a jacket for Bella.

To my astonishment the route was 1.9 km (so you were right, Roskilde) and the organisers had estimated M&F and children would take half an hour. But as you know they completed in twenty minutes.
- Okay, if you are not used to reading a map it will take quite some time.

Anyway, Christian and Isabella were by far the youngest competitors in the run. At the starting line, they were issued with a chip to put on their right index finger, a compass to strap on their left thumb and a map. Christian was appointed the pathfinder, with a little help from dad, who helped Christian align the compas and the map and then it was off - after patiantly having had to listen to no less than three speeches!
There were fourteen posts on the route. Christian was seen in front, sprinting towards the finishing line, followed a little behind by little sis, Isaballa with the tip of her tounge out, who in return was followed by two leisherly looking parents and a couple of anonymous gentlemen.
As Christian darted towards the finishing line, Isabella really started to sprint as well - right past the last post so Mary had to call out: "Bella, come back". Oh, yeah okay.

Christian exclaimed when he had passed the finishing line: "Oh, I've got the stiches".
It was two pretty beat children who panted afterwards (their legs are of course shorter and the hills so much higher), to be praised by their parents.
Frederik said afterwards: "I haven't been running (orienteering) since my time in the military (where you do it all the time), but I might pick it up again now. This is good. It's fun for all".

Right before the children were interviewed, or rather took over, Frederik was asked about how he thought his children had performed: "It was full of joy, curiosity and enthusiasm. It's not just a question of them running. You also have to use your head and you of course need the map and think about where you are in nature".

And who was the best at finding the way? "I must say, you (Christian) were pretty good. You learned fast".
