I hope that this body guard interact also with other children and don't be always with little Christian otherwise he will not socialise and maybe the other kids will feel that he is the lucky one who have always someone around him to pick him up in the lap!And a body guard who chage dippers!!!!!!!!God!

It's not a school - it's a kind of pre-kindergarden.

mary looks close to tears, i know i would be.
PPE Agency
has wonderful photos,
polfoto has some good ones also but i can't get the link to work :(
TV 2 Nyhederne - Lille prins starter i vuggestue
he behaves like such a little man (oops prince) very self contained and mature for his age. looks like a mini henri.
Danish Royal Watchers
has the best coverage (as usual) love that site
coverage i've read say he stayed 2 hours with his parents and he isn't going everyday or all day. this is good he can meet other kids his age and be "normal" , some of the friends he makes now hopefully will still be his friends when he's king. if i were going to bet i'd say it was harder on his parents emotions than his.

Danish Royal Watchers reports on their site, that today, Fred, Mary and Christian spent two hours at the daycare together and then went home. Christian was not left alone on his first day.

As Sophus said the translation 'nursery school' is not really what being at a vuggestue is about. There is no schooling involved - it is about taking care of small children (up to age 3 till they move on to kindergarten), playing with them, letting them play and interact with other children of the same age while mum and dad are working. No schooling involved.
I have heard from an Australian friend who calls this a 'creche' - don't know if that would be a better translation of 'vuggestue'.

Oh , he's so charming!

Little Christian looked so "serious" today. Like a little business-man.
Thanks for all the links to the photos!
IMO, Christian looks alot like Frederik. He got so big!

About the new baby: I'm surprised how big Mary's belly is ! You weren't able to "see the baby" the last 6 months. The Princess looked really beautiful today.
It's always great to see the whole family (I love seeing Fred as a dad ).

Yes...but I fear, they won´t keep this system for longer, if they are seeing, that private persons are spreading and downloading their pics. It´s said for them this is a very sensitive topic...so don´t overdo it with IBL pics (@bloggers etc.) or it could be easily, that it would be closed again

Yeah, it is his body guard, but it is not a normal body guard, it is Secret Service (PET). :-)

He's such a serious baby. So sturdy and mature for his age. I love the lilleprinsen.

Prince Christian is so adorable and huggable little prince. He has a very serious look on his face. Looking at the picture of prince Fredrix touching prince Christian's face. His little face expression as if he wants to ask “why are so many cameramen around dad?”

Great pics! And no crying! I didn't think he would cry. He's just too young to really understand what's going on. Maybe that's why starting him at nursery school was so important to his parents to kind of get some of the fanfare out of the way. I'm sure it will still be reported about when he actually starts school but maybe not in the same "public" way. We'll see.
