The weather turned up trumps (long may it last *touches wood*).
She was a lovely bride and the tiara is stunning.

I do not like that official photo, it gives me a distant feeling. Or perhaps it is because she does not have her veil on. That is a big turn off for me. I just feel there's a lot missing here..

Kate and William, another gallery from purepeople. I do like her outfit much. The hat is truly impressive.

I know I'm supposed to like this since it has ancient ruins (are they ruins, not sure but it looks like a church that isn't all there anymore) and a serene and intimate atmosphere but... Somehow it just looks gloomy. The lighting isn't very successful in a sense (although beautiful) since it makes Zara's dress look like it was made from a shower curtain. She would look better with the veil, maybe with the flowers too. I wonder if the groom is looking at the bride instead of the camera for a reason. Didn't get the nose fixed, better camouflage it by looking the other way. I know, I know, it's supposed to be romantic and he's looking at her lovingly...

I agree on the outfit!
Speaking of hats, what on earth was Katherine Kelly's giant orange thing all about. It is mad, but I think I like it.

The hats are getting to be too much.

I so agree about the over-the-top look of these hats. I guess I'm just not fascinated by fascinators; give me the traditional toppers.

I ♥ Camilla's hat big time! And Sophie's heels!

It's not that hard once you figure out that you don't lean forward, but slightly back (this is a HUGE mistake and why a lot of women can't walk in heels).

Agreed! I think the bridesmaids dresses were horrible. They were terribly unflattering.

This is incredibly difficult! I went to a wedding int eh Heidelberg Castle several years ago and while I wear heels almost every day, doing it on cobblestones was hard! You have to be very careful, but not look like you're being careful.
I was not a big fan of Zara's dress because it just didn't seem to fit her body type. Her arms didn't look good. They're not fat at all, just...beefy. The sleeveless look wasn't a good choice for her. I loved the buttons down the back of the dress though. It was a nice detail. She looked radiantly happy though, so I guess that's all that counts. I thought the official photo was lovely.

I like the grey morning dress that the prince of Wales are wearing, it looks much better for a summer wedding than the darker suits most of the men are wearing.

I agree. Sleeveless looks don't work for everyone- and it's not a matter of being "fat".

Why is it a faux paus?
I saw two maybe three women wearing black today, even the bridesmaids wore white.
