Tiaraprin, perhaps you could express those emotions on one of the threads on the British board and let the people who want to talk about the wedding, rather than the emotional baggage of the last couple of decades, do so here.

At least the weather looks positive for the day as the sun is shining.

It is also nice to see quite a crowd developing - currently about 3 hours before Charles and Camilla are to leave Windsor Castle for the Guildhall.

The Queen has raised the full state standard rather than the normal sized standard. This standard, according to SkyNews is only raised for things like official state visits or state occasions, so it is being raised for the wedding of the heir apparent to the British throne.

I won't be back until the morning Sydney time as I intend on enjoying the evening as Charles finally marries the love of his life.

Most people think that wearing white to a second wedding is inappropriate. Like Camila, a lot of second time brides opt for ivory or a soft color.

I thought she looked wonderful! Both her dresses suited the occasion perfectly. I hope Charles and Camilla do get their own happily ever after ending, they truly deserve it despite all the mistakes they have made in the past. It's a new beginning for them and as oneof the commentators said, a real closure to a very painful period of the couple and of the the monarchy. :)

she couldnt wear white because it wasn't a proper wedding and because of her age and past divorce.

Elspeth, it is quite impossible to just "gloss over" this emotional baggage you speak of. I was responding to the idea that this is a wedding for the common man and shared my thoughts. Not every person is going to like this, and then there are people who think Charles and Camilla are just great. There is a great schism amongst royal watchers that will not heal with the snap of the fingers. All of us have the right to express our views in an appropriate manner.

Did you notice how Charles helped her during the wedding? He was always helpful on where to put her flowers, or even helped her to find the right page in this book in church.

What do you think about the Queen and Charles' sons?
William and Harry looked very relaxed. But Queen left immediately after the church cerimony.
