The Tiara Farah wore was designed by Harry Winston and the jewels she wore were the crown jewels that "rarely left their vaults". The Tiara weighed nearly two kilos. Her dress which was designed by the house of Dior was embroidered with Persian motifs in silver thread, sequins and pearls (imitation of course). The designers also sew a hem with blue so the "the good fairies would at last give the King the son he so desired"

Nice video, Queen Malka. Even if Repulicans argue that monarchies are a waste of taxpayer's money, they do know how to give the public a good show that no Hollywood director could ever produce. The splendor, the majesty, what a show it is!

I agree that she's only gotten more elegant and beautiful as the years have passed. She's been able to rise above all the difficulties of her life with class and dignity. She always looked spectacular in the jewels and her wedding day was no exception.:)

Greetings from England, just want to express I believe Sol_Angl is categorically right,, after all ,,,beauty is in the eyes of beholder.. so consider this,,, for us being here at this time and at this age it is an honour to experience all the beauty tangible or other wise that this life has to offer. And lets face it everyone each and one of us has something to be proud of,, so why not our sensibilities.

That's not true at all! Most Iranians, including me, think the Shahbaanou is very beautiful. The empress is much more than just beautiful though - She is most gracious, very elegant, incredibly dignified, charismatic and fabulously statuesque! She is an empress if I have ever seen one! And with a good taste too!

All of them are beautiful. I find Fawzia the most prettier, Soraya the most cativating and Farah the most regal. Three real Ladies.

He (Andronik) sings this for the Shah - Basically he moans about that he (the Shah) left us, and how everything turned to darkness when the "our founder" ("Bonyaan-gozaaram") left us - something along those lines. :)
