Chris is far, far more emotional a man than I realized. He seemed close to tears at several points in the ceremony and could not seem to keep his hands-or lips-off his gorgeous bride. Any doubts I had about him are gone. He adores Madeleine, it's obvious. I was also surprised that he speaks English with a British accent, I hadn't realized.

Madeleine looked like a complete dream. I was disappointed with last night's showing but today she looked like the Ultimate Princess Bride. I loved everything about her look. And she reclaimed her position as Europe's most beautiful princess, imo.

Estelle is a dream baby and her parents obviously adore her but I agree with Mirabel . Why bring her to the ceremony and risk a meltdown?? As proud of her as Victoria and Daniel are, this was Madeleine and Chris's hour and not the time to show off your beautiful baby girl.

My two cents.

They obviously know their daughter and knew she was a happy and well mannered baby. I think Madeleine and Chris wanted her there and it was their wedding.

That is just wrong who goes to a wedding dressed like that, especially in a church.

I don't know that I'd say it is a cultural thing; here in the US there are all sorts of weddings.

Personally, I much prefer the ones that are adult-only.
I think children at weddings are a distraction at best and a nuisance at worst.
But other people may want to have them, it's a matter of choice.

BBC News - Swedish Princess Madeleine marries US-British financier

Some lovely footage from the BBC website. Chris looks besotted with her, and they seem so happy. He's clearly interested in Madeleine the person, not Madeleine the princess.

I also thought he always looked uncomfortable & a bit grumpy in photos, but think maybe he's just one of those people who doesn't photograph particularly well.

Anyway, congrats Madeleine and Chris!

I think it's was beautiful they included baby Estelle in the wedding. I normally don't like little children at weddings but this time I thought is was great that they included Estelle.

The arrival at Drottningholm was cute. I hope that this was not the official picture though.

I wonder with whom Stephanie and Guillaume were hanging out since they were not on the deck with the other crown princely couples.

My guess is that the official pictures were taken prior to the carriage ride.

I am bummed it's all over now. :( I hoped we would have gotten speeches and a dance like Victoria and Daniel.

I don't think there was a mishap she has gone to events with no jewelry not even earrings before.
I thought I saw a side shot of her toward the end of the broadcast that showed her wedding headpiece. It isn't a tiara but I'd like to think she at least wore something to show she feels honored by her position and happy to perform its duties.

Maybe a little OT but the chapel is stunning. Such a nice location for a wedding. (better than Victoria's imo)
