Thanks for the pictures Mandy! :)

That is quite the outfit Queen Juliana is sporting at her daught'ers wedding. It reminds me a bit of a theatrical costume.

Yes, it is rather flamboyant!

I assume Princess Christina was wearing a dress without a long veil and train because of her bad eyesight - less chance of tripping over the wedding dress if there isn't a whole lot of spare fabric dragging around her feet.

I thought her wedding dress was very dated. And a matching purse!?

I like the date that Princess Christina and Jorge selected for their wedding day: June 28th.
With a later day in the month, theirs was a true June summer wedding.
June is a grand month for a wedding!

What church did Princess Christina and Jorge Guillermo get married in?

Thanks Jacknch for some reason I thought they were married in the Hague.

The St. Martinuskerk is just a small church btw. It is an unremarkable neo-something building from the late 19th century. Many catholic churches were build in that period as before +/- 1850 the catholics were not allowed to worship too openly. Due to lack of church attendence the church has been converted into appartments in the 80-ties.

IThe couple was married in the Domkerk in utrecht. Christina was also married there and prince Bernhard jr. would later marry his wife Annette there.
