Too bad about their divorce, they seemed like they were made for each other.

At first it was speculated that the reason was that Joachim was carousing around town, and then it was speculated that Alexandra began her affair with Martin while still married.
Take your pick!

Not sure why exactly I don't warm up to this gown, but I just didn't and don't. Also the tacky lining on the bride's veil--just not right, in my humble opinion. The groom was better looking than his bride, that much is certain for me. That horrible afro, yuck! Luckily the bride's face was so pretty that it overshadowed her outfit---almost!

Not a fan of that gown, also. It's so out of proportion to her small frame that it's not becoming. The gown reminds me very much of Princess Margaret's dress, but I don't think Margaret's was as full in the front.

I'm also not fond with Alexandra’s wedding hairdo it sank her lovely tiara) but may be the hairdresser had thought that this hairdo could helped her petite size little bit to balance her while she wass standing near her tall husband . I love her dress, it is fit for a winter wedding .

It's funny you mention that, because I have read an article published by Hola, where several top hairdressers comment on various hairdos used by royal brides in the past years and they have chosen Alexandra, Mette-Marit, Mathilde, Martha Louise and Máxima as those whose hairdos better have fit their face structure.
Cheska's experts Camille Albane and Michel Meyer have considered Alexandra Manley's hairdo perfect for those women whose hair is very dark and naturally curly. In the case of the Princess, they say that the hairdo is very flattering to her face structure and an utterly modern style.
...of course not everybody has to agree with the experts...

Too true! Each person is an expert on their own likes and dislikes and needs no one else to tell them what they shoud or shouldn't like. More often than not, the so-called experts' viewpoint will be influenced by their own subjective worldview. Thus, as you stated, just because a so-called expert says so doesn't mean everyone has to subscribe to it.

Exactly, I often sighing while watching fashion show on TV, the gown/dress they showed (among of them are called as haute couture design) sometime look bizarre for me, but that’s what an expert called a beauty of fashion art (personally I don’t always think that the dress is beautiful at all).
Back to Alexandra’s wedding Hairdo, actually the only one bother me about the hairdo is it made her tiara les visible (I think the busy curly is too dominant) and also it made her veil stand high then looked too much for overall attire (well my opinion only, I just think about Princess Grace’s hairdo and her veil, they are simple and lovely but of course Princess Grace and princess Alexandra are different person then can not exactly be compared). http://img158.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=40830_pre_SEEGER00003003_427lo.jpg.
The diamond colour in her tiara which is already less visible because of the big white veils and the puffy curly style doesn’t help it at all (again my opinion). http://img41.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=41018_Scan0001_599lo.JPG, http://img226.imageshack.us/my.php?image=00003122560337tz.jpg.
But in other side I can see that the hairdo (also the veils position) helped Alex to look inches taller and the hairdo also balances her puffy gown, well may be the last reasons were more important for the hairdresser to take than make the tiara clearly visible .

I think she looked perfect. Definitely, much better than her sister-in-law.

It's strange to see this pictures right now (on Alexandra's wedding No2 day).
They always looked like the perfect dream couple to me and I never expected them to divorce.
They looked so happy and in love on their wedding day.

There's some sense of sadness looking at these pics - they were so in love and full of happiness. I truly thought they were a perfect couple - and naturally it's sad to see this marriage end in divorce.
However, i think the divorce is a result of both party hving grown apart and finding different goals and dreams in life - one that doesn't incld them as a couple.

The royal's love life must not be a fairy tale after all...they love and hate in equal quantities...whoever was unloyal to the other one... it just wasn't meant to be.
