I don't know how to answer your question :o Loooool

no seriously , if they follow the custom she is his wife just on paper so it is like engagment , in the katb al kitab stage she can't live with him in the same house etc ..... , he can see her in her family house or if her family don't mind they can go out to restaurant for example

by the way I don't think you asked a dumb question I hope I didn't give you a dumb answer :o

i think they are still in the Katb al Kitab stage
she is his wife now , he could see her any time
some families give him the right of taking her out for few hours , usually to a restaurant because it is the most appropriate place here
but as I mentioned before she will still live in her family house

Katb al Kitab is like an Engagement but little different;
When she get engaged that don’t really means that she get married
So many families don’t allowed to the man to see the girl until they get married
But Katb al Kitab means that she becomes his wife so he could see her any time
But she will not leave her parents house until she have a wedding

Thank you your answer.

Congrats to the couple, I wish the JRF would be more European and broadcast their marriages and officially state engagements and such to inform the public, after all they aren't private citizens right? But thats just my opinion, and how simple a situation like this would be.

Thank you all - I'm not so confused now! And the engagement apparently made the news here in the States - my manager said she saw it on the news here about a week ago. I was jealous! I couldn't believe I missed that.

Yeah, I hope his kids would inherit most of his looks, lol with all due respect to his wife of course, who knows his wife may be really beautiful afterall her grandmother's American.
Btw, pardon me for my naivity, but what's the purpose of having a Kitb al Katab? Or whatever that is called, sorry I think I spelled it wrong.
Happy Eid Mubarak by the way :-)

having an American grandmother doesnt mean one has to be beautiful, nor does it mean that one cant be beautiful without American genes....

yep! people keep pointing out that her grandma is America, with all respect , does her GRANDMA (not her mother or dad,her GRANDMA!!!) being an American makes her that special? I just dun get the point? even the media keeps pointing that out, which is smthing I can't really understand

it sounds really a bit racial (is it the right word?)
but maybe it is only because prince hashims mother queen noor is an american.
so maybe thats a reason to tell all the time that her granny is one too

Pardon me if I sounded inappropriate and illogical, I never intended such connotation. What I was trying to say is that with someone having a seemingly biracial or multiracial background for that matter, can make him/her uniquely attractive, that's all.

And yeah Closetoheaven, probably that was the reason why the press wanted to highlight that particular piece of information.

Sorry for the misunderstanding folks! :)

I wouldn't worry, I can't speak for others, but I understood what you meant by that comment.
