According to Petra, here's a list of guests who have arrived for the wedding...
Queen Sofia of Spain and her sister Irene
Farah Pahlavi
Andrew, Prince of York
Prince Salman, Emir of Riyadh
Sheikh Saleh Kamel, Board Chairman of Dallat Al Barakah and
the Arab Media Company
That's all that Petra has. I'm not sure who else was invited or who will be attending.

Is it just me or does Hashim look a lot like Ali on the last pic...it's like his cheeks remind me of Ali, a Lil chubby

The ceremony includes a wedding parade starting from the Royal
Court passing through Al Istiqlal Street to Queen Nor Al Hussein Street
then to the 4th Circle intersection and down to Zahran Palace where the
main ceremony.

So there will be a parade! Yeah! Although, I must ask, if no one really knows about the wedding in Jordan, who will fill the streets?

I don't think it's going to be on television. The Jordanian television stations haven't announced anything about it at all! :(

Maybe 'parade' is a fancy dancy way of saying they are closing all the streets to get everyone there on time and if you want to show up and wave-well, good on you!!

This is all too weird! They're having a parade but nothing's been announced about it on television. Maybe they're doing that for security reasons.
I hope they they have it on tv. I got someone to tape it for me. :woot:

why aren't there any pictures of the guests' arrival?
I would've thought that atleast the Jordanian media would've covered it.

This is an article on Prince Hamzah's Wedding. Says that he wanted a low key ceremony as he thought an over the top celebration would be inappropriate given the current conditions in the region. That statement says a lot about his character I think.

For someone who lost their father to cancer, it seems a little irresponsible to be giving away cigarette cases as wedding presents.

I can't see Ali at the banquet, was he there- also, Ali was alone at the Indipendence Day, no wife, I have a feeling something is wrong there ,in that wed, not at all as Hamzah and his wife who look so much in love.

Noor Hamzah sure is a pretty little thing, isn't she?
Considering that the Jordanian Royal Family has received credible threats in the past from Al-Queda, I think the low key wedding is a very good idea, especially with all the high profile guests.
On a side note, has anyone else noticed that Hashim has only been photgraphed lately wearing traditional dress - at the luncheon, Haya's wedding, etc.
Is he more traditional than his brothers?

Jordan Times:
"By Tradition
The festivities in celebration of HRH Crown Prince Hamzah's marriage to HRH Princess Noor began yesterday with probably one of Jordan's biggest ever gathering over the country's most popular meal — mansaf. Around 4,000 guests, all men (although some women were invited) descended on the grounds of the Royal Hashemite Court. Each and every one of them was greeted by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Faisal, Prince Hamzah and Prince Hashem, who were later joined by Prince Raad Ben Zeid, Prince Ghazi Ben Mohammad and father of the bride, Sharif Assem Ben Nayef. The guests, who came from all walks of life, were escorted to seats in flag emblazoned bedouin tents. His Majesty King Abdullah saluted the crowd who were then invited to mansaf, followed by the traditional dessert of kanafeh."

why was it mostly men? I would have thought the opposite, or at least a balance of the two.
