King Abdullah of Jordan and Queen Rania: 10 June 1993
here's a pic of P. Rania on the day of her weddding, what do you think, you can notice in this pic how different she was then. Other rare pix of the wed, from a Jordan site, I love Iman at 10 !

Bruce Oldfield
Bruce Oldfield, the designer who made Queen Rania's dress, talks briefly about his experience and the wedding in his autobiography. He was inspired to make the gold embroidery on Rania's dress by Syrian designs that he saw at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. He also made the outfit for the wedding reception afterwards. He talks about the fact that Queen Rania's hairdo was so high, she had problems getting into the car LOL.
He describes the Hashemites as always very friendly, warm and courteous. It's only a brief 2 page description but I found it very insightful.

Noor and Rania on Rania's Wedding Day
QR looks so different now than on wedding day! I hate the jacket but once she had it off, it was a sleeveless vneck gown and very lovely......Noor looks the same--but 3 different red dresses to wear that day?????? Wow! I wonder why the need.

Rania wore two different dresses. The sleeveless dress is a different one altogether. She had two different receptions, just like Prince Hamzah and Princess Noor did. There's a thread in the wedding forum.

Personally I thought the wedding overall was tacky, Rania's dress, hair and make-up were all terrible! I suppose you could blame it on the fact that it was 1993(1994?) and fashions were pretty different then but personally the entire wedding seems very ostentatious and over the top.

I didn't like the wedding dress. Rania is probably the most beautul royal in the world but the dress and the hairstyle didn't make her justice. And with that hair she looks much taller than Abdullah and it doesn't look nice.
