I think the "older" lady in the fur coat was Paola of Belgium, it looks like King Albert with her.

I was trying to think of what other royals had furry wedding dresses. Fabiola of Belgium! And almost royal Victoria Lockwood, later Spencer.

Very tame for 1981! Good choice! I actually like the fur parts. My mother got married (in the 1960s) in January and she had faux fur cuffs on her dress, no fur collar or hem though. There was a huge snow storm the day before the wedding.

Very interesting pictures. You can read all kinds of things from people's faces and gestures

I have always thought that Maria-Theresas' dress was beautiful. I love the whole style of it because it really captured the winter feel.

The Royal Weddings Message Board has a few photos scanned from Raymon Reuter's book, which I never saw before:

Royal Weddings Message Board: Most Romantic February wedding: Henri & Maria-Teresa

Honestly, I think her gown looks very nice in some of the better quality photos, especially the official shot.

I would have to agree. IMO, this gown is much more elegant than the Princess of Wales' and Princess Astrid's gowns.

How sweet
And reminds me someone...

MT's wedding gown reminds me a little bit Josephine-Charlotte's wedding gown.

Who was MT's bridesmaid?

Thank you for that link! I really enjoyed the pictures, and I do agree the dress looks better in higher-resolution photos. I don't think the fur trim was really all that bad.
