Felipe, Prince of Asturias & Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano: 22 May 2004

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Is there a link of the web where you can watch it? I missed most of it on tv because I overslept and forgot about it. I would really like to see it.

I don´t know. I have a tape of it. Actually, I think I have 2 tapes. Can´t seem to find it right now. I taped it on TVEI and Univision.

I'm sure there is one somewhere, I just need to search more for it. I caught the tail end of the ceremony on Univision, but I would really like to see the beginning.

I hope this romantic fotos be a new for evry one!

Gabriella,

The Norwegian television website has most of the whole wedding ceremony. It starts with the major royal guests coming to the church and ends somewhere during the second hour maybe. I'm not sure. The address is http://www.nrk.no/ . Go to the left hand side and click on Nett-tv. A box will show up. Scroll down on the left until you come to a picture of a crown that says Kongehus Alt om de kongelige beside it. Then click on Kronprinsbryllup i Spania. That takes you to either the pre-wedding dinner or the wedding. You have to be registered with NRK to view these. It's free.

If you want to see other clips from the wedding like the balcony appearance, exiting the church, etc., that aren't on the NRK site then here are some links to see clips of those.

Attendants outfits inspired by painting?

For some reason, I seem to remember that it was written somewhere that the outfits of the attendants were inspired by a painting.

Does anyone remember this and know what painting it was that, reportedly, inspired the outfits?

I think it was a painting by Goya. Or another Spaniard. Here are some nice photos I found online. I´m sure they´ve been posted before.

Yes, it was.
Lorenzo Caprile was the designer in charge of the children and he caught his inspiration from the paintings of Goya that are hanged on the walls of the Prado in Madrid. He was also helped by the investigators who are responsible for the Museo del Traje and the Real Sastrería de Palacio.

This is the second time I've seen Prince Raiyah of Jordan on the guest list. I wonder why she didnt accompany her mum.

Felipe's wedding speech

I noticed that some people are quoting extracts from Felipe's wedding speech. Does anyone have a link or can they post the complete speech here....sounds so romantic that I would love to read it :)

You can watch a couple of great videos of the royal wedding at the following website:

cnn+ -

In case that you're interested, you can look at the official guest list and the place they occupied at the cathedral during the wedding mass. It's quite interesting to see where the other royals sat and the impressive task of sticking to the protocol that the staff of the Royal Household must have followed.http://www.casareal.es/boda/info/InvitadosCatedral.pdf

Did anyone else think it was weird that Queen Beatrix wasn't there? I know she and Juan Carlos and Queen Sophia are very close (probably among the closest royals) and I thought it was strange that she wouldn't be at the wedding. Does anyone know maybe the reason for her conspicuous absence?

She went to the dinner the previous day, but she had to return to Holland because she had the wedding of a godson of her. the same day.

i am trying to see who is in the photo and cant see all the guets
but i still have to say thank you for showing me the photo

You can only see the faces, if you take a look at those pics that focous on the bride and groom.
For example, in this photo from Corbis, you can see the Portuguese president Jorge Sampaio and his wife at both sides of King Juan Carlos. Also here, you can get a closer view.
