From the Glittering Royals MB, a link to the many colourful hats worn to yesterday's wedding: Hats, hats and more hats at El Mundo
I looked at it ... I liked Mette-Merit's creation the best. It was quirky and minimal. For tone, it sets Norway apart from the crowd. That is courage. I like that.

(Martha-Luise's dress for the wedding sets a far boundary of courage .... nobody but ML (and sometimes Elena) have that boldness - courage - confidence -.)

-they said that rania had broken up protocol because it was said in the invitation that women whould have short dresses. however, it was also said it was a custom of her country.
Rania does wear short dresses and skirts regardless of what her people think or believe as custom...she even wears sleevless and strapless dresses (pre wedding gown for example)...

So, I think she wore the long skirt in the wedding because she wanted so.... [/b][/quote]
i think rania's dress for the pre wedding dinner was VERY innapropriate, its a beautiful dress but not for her to wear, it seems sometimes she forgets she is a hashemite queen
what she wore for the wedding was beautiful, she looked amazing

what was marta louise wearing? it was horrible, she usually looks beautiful

And of course, Crown Princess Letizia!

I´m sure I forgot somebody I like.
Thanks to the wonderful pictures posted by Dennism, I saw so many pretty women in dresses and hats, and handsome men in uniforms and tuxes, I can't remember the names of all those I saw :P So I will just concur with Dennisim's list since I recognized and remembered them at least

I thought Letizia looked amazing and Felipe was handsome. Letizia's dress was beautiful and suited her well. She and Mary Donaldson looked every inch like Crown Princesses. I even recognized the tiara Letizia wore, thanks to the informative LTR members and their wonderful forums.

The bridesmaids dresses were pretty although the headdress is somewhat provencial but pretty nevertheless. The little pages and flowergirls were sweet and their outfits were cute.

I believe the coin ritual symbolizes the sharing of each other's wealth (for richer for poorer part of the vows). Felipe gives Letizia some of his "money" and she some of her's.

I think for Cristina and Inaki's wedding specially minted (perhaps commemorative?) coins were provided for their coin ritual. I am not sure if that was the case in Felipe and Letizia, but I'm sure something special was done because they are the future King and Queen of Spain.

Little gif-image of Froilan´s "slip"
I couldn't help but bust up laughing when I saw that. Heck what little guy wouldn't be slighly irritated in a big situation like that. All that attention, and those outfits? However, I am shocked that it was Froilian that did this rather than some other little kid. I always thought that he was a reserved little guy! Haha!
