It seemed to me four ladies was in identical dresses (black with checkered sleeves, black with white and pearls)

Something which is confirmed for me is the the good relationship between Mary, Maxima, Mette Marit and Mathilde. These ladies seem to thoroughly enjoy one anothers company and tend to bee line for one another.

It was nice to at last finally see Mary and Letizia engage in dialogue at the gala performance aswell. Both were chatting away as they were sitted next to one another.

I think you mean the ladies-in-waiting of Queen Silvia. I didn´t know that they have to wear the same costumes.:)
 
Did anyone see Emma Pernald at the wedding?
I thought she was invited.
 
This was probably the most beautiful Royal wedding I have seen or read about in many years. Scandinavian Royal weddings always seem to have a fairy tale magic quality to them, but this one took the cake, no pun intended.

Visually it was simply stunning. I have NEVER seen Victoria look so beautiful..all the Royal ladies looked wonderful...Daniel's speech was so moving..and those children singing on the Cathedral steps moved me to tears.

It's going to be tough for William/Kate or Albert/Charlene to top this one!!
 
Thanks. It's fascinating to see all the orders and decorations the various royals wear. My favorite photo of the day is probably the other Crown Princesses in a row.

You are correct ahtikavalentine, the image on Margrethe's family order is the late King Frederik IX, her father.

If you look at the same pin Mary wears, it features a picture of Margrethe.

Emma Pernald wasn´t invited to the wedding and wedding dinner, but she was invited to the concert on Friday, and she was there.

Charlene Wittstock is her name, and I agree that she looked most regal and stunning. I also loved the gown worn by HRH Princess Claire of Belgium...what a gorgeous figure!
 
Does someone know what the blue/red label (idk how to say that) that royals wear means?

This was sooo romantic. I saw it from Daniel's face already in the church, that he had something to do with the song's lyrics! I didn't know it for sure until know.

That is not a pin thingy but a house order. I believe she is wearing the house order of Frederik IX.
 
i absolutely love princess Madeleine's dress and tiara, she looked lovely
s for CP Victoria... she really didnt look like a royal bride

Queen Rania was extremely dissappointing
 
I don't know if this has been discussed already. But does anyone know whether there was something like a programme arranged for the little bridemaids and pageboys? I have seen the older girls and Daniel's nieces at the wedding party later but what about Prince Christian and the Princesses Amelia and Ingrid Alexandra? Where were they? Simply went back to their hotels?

At ages 8 and 5, I think they would have gone back to the hotels after photos.
 
Yes, Anna is lovely. Madeleine look beautiful at both evenets. Rania looked like she slept until 15 minutes before she had to get there and through something on and pinned up her hair.
