Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Daniel Westling: June 19, 2010

How wonderful! They are being serenaded by a choir with some beautiful song. I love this wedding! :flowers:

The crowd reminds me of Charles and Diana's wedding. I wasn't expecting so many people!

I know me too!^

Prince Charles is ill, he has a chest infection. He attended neither Royal Ascot nor the Order of the Garter ceremony.
Queen Elizabeth hasn't attended a big european royal wedding in a long time. And she is a lot older than the other Queens.
Edward and Sophie of Wessex usually attend the european weddings.
However Charles has attended W-A's, Haakons, Felipe's and Phillipes.

ahh I didn't know he had attended those weddings that's always good to know. Ah yes I totally forgot about his chest infection.

With the occassional scream from the crowds, you'd think V&D were kisssing on the balcony. Yet the cameras are always on the choir at those times!

V looks lovely! Not thrilled about the Cameos, but she looks happy.

Yeah! He looks like he's gained some weight. Who is the young woman in beige he escorted earlier this morning to the ceremony? The broadcast is in Swedish and as I said, my Swedish is a little rusty!:ROFLMAO:

The young woman is Charlene Wittstock his girlfriend (official companion) of four years.

They look so happy on the balcony.

They actually just showed quite a long clip of Queen Rania walking with Queen Paola.
I didn't like the hair as much at first but now I think she looks very pretty. I just wish she had worn one of her other diamond tiaras. With an updo she could've worn a bigger tiara. But I think she was going for a very simple look in terms of jewellery.
I was expecting a more grander tiara and a grander dress, but it's all good. True, the updo needed something more than that tiara, but maybe she figured that since it's not all about her, she would go the understated route and keep it simple. I probably would have done the same thing:).

I didn't like the cameo tiara on Silvia but on Victoria it's like....WoW! I originally wanted her to wear the broganza but I'm glad she's wearing the cameo.

If the wedding reception will be aired well that's no sleeping for me. It's 12:12am here in Manila.

I don't think my laptops battery will last much longer lmao gotta find the charger!!

is she crying? she looked like shes trying not to cry picking at the flowers and loking away..

Madeleine looks like she's going to the prom.
I wish she would've worn another color. Albeit, she still looked nice, but......

i think victoria looks absolutely superb. she glows in that dress, which is not too much to opaque her and just classy - when we see the pictures in some years time, this will just seem the perfect choice. the tiara looks surprisingly very good, but i think it's the ensemble that makes a difference.

I wish they would bring the children out!

Someone was asking about the english song in the church, the song is "When you tell the world you're mine", I believe

I have to say, this wedding is absolutely fantastic. One of the best royal weddings I have seen together with that of Mette-Marit and Hakoon.

Hi! Watched the whole thing here (while eating breakfast) in Pennsylvania. :)
BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE the tiara and that gorgeous piece of ivory lace and the cameo bracelet and earrings. It was set off perfectly by the simple yet elegant gown with the oh-so-cute tiny sleeves. It made her Victoria look young, beautiful and queenly all at once.

The church was GORGEOUS. All that gold and those pink flowers. I liked the pastel color scheme: Sylvia in pink, Madeline in light blue, Mrs. Westling in dove gray, pale blue carpet and pale pink flowers. That will look very nice in group photos.

I was totally AMAZED at the number of people lining the streets. Saw a lot of negative comments (at royals in general) in The Local. But it seems everyone turned out. :D So glad. The couple seems very much in love and as though they were thrilled to finally be there. LOL! I wonder how many times they thought this wasn't going to happen for them? They deserve every happiness. Victoria seems so sweet, I don't know much about Danielle but she couldn't possibly love a man who was not a sweety himself.

Love the blue and gold boat. So cool. Even a submarine! Jet planes! Oh, yeah, now THAT"S a wedding. The lavendar flower balls at the palace are adorable. And the heart of flowers on the lawn. Thsi has been fabulous to watch. And I have now added Sweden to my list of Place I Plan To visit. I had no idea it was beautiful there.

As to the guests, it was really cool seeing so many queens in one spot, no matter how they were dressed. We just don't ever get that here in the USA. :)

Best Royal Wedding Ever!!!!!!!!!!
The cameo tiara is to remind of the Napoleonic era- and the lace veil if I am not mistaken was her mother's veil Queen Silvia who was married on this day thirty four years ago.. The bridal gown was lovely in design but badly executed as the when they lifted the train one could see the veil's hem and it was not lined in something to conceal the visibility of the hemming.
All those Queens as you say in one place except for the Prince of Wales and the DOC who has a chest infection.
I saw Monaco's Prince Albert right up front as I think he and Victoria are great friends sharing a special communication as true allies and I also charming Charlene in her lovely gown in beige chiffon and diamond earrings; gown draped on one side with half pleats. sitting behind the Prince.Cp Mary looked stunning and Letizia for once missed the mark for me.Silvia also looked stunning. And Maddie was very beautiful and I lubed her gown. King Gustaf as usual a picture of dignity and calm.He is a King I admire.
It was a wonderful and breathtaking nuptial and I wish the newlyweds all the happiness in the world. I hope we see pics of them cutting the cake.

I was expecting a more grander tiara and a grander dress, but it's all good. True, the updo needed something more than that tiara, but maybe she figured that since it's not all about her, she would go the understated route and keep it simple. I probably would have done the same thing:).

I agree. Remember the state visit to the Netherlands, QR wore the big Arabic tiara with diamond earrings. So she can certainly dress up when she wants to. But I think in this case she was definitely going for a simple look.
Although I certainly don't mind looking at Maria Teresa's enormous tiara:D

They look so happy on the balcony.
Bless their hearts! Victoria and Daniel are real super troopers! They must be getting a little tired. It's been such a big day for the both of them. By now I would be gently asking for a chair to sit down. You know, she can slip her shoes off and nobody would know.... She might be wearing flip flops under that gown!!!:ROFLMAO:

His Majesty the King is speaking (I wish I knew what he was saying). Hey, I got it! "Three cheers for Victoria and Daniel!":ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The King is talking right now. What is he saying? Greeting the crowds? He's presenting the CPss and the new Prince and now Victoria is talking..
