On the whole I have not ever liked this style, with the one large gem poking up like that, but there is something about this tiara that I found myself returning to it again and again. :flowers: I think the center diamond is particularly beautiful, or does the credit go to the photographer? ;) I like it lots, especially the fact that it's packed with diamonds and pearls. Wonder who owned it? Who wore it?

Yes it has a certain draw to it doesn't it? It's delicate but at the same time it has presence to it. The craftmanship and stones are lovely. It's got a nice curve to it also.

The Teck circle collier/diadem is owned by the Earl of Snowdon, a far cousin of the groom. I would be surprised to see it on Ms Markle's head.

Yeah we've talked about that ...most of the poll options aren't even really options ..it comes down to really only a couple of known tiaras and whatever others not seen in decades stashed in the vaults..or a tiara bought intact privately, or a new one.

Not a professional photoshopper but I just try:flowers:

Diamond Lozenge: https://imgur.com/a/KKOmU

Not sure how should I place it so I tried two vers. (btw I think of Mette-Marit's wedding tiara)

Teck Circle: https://imgur.com/a/3pqbT

Reference to Queen Mother's style (more like a halo) (originally what I expect is more like a circlet, but I find it's too difficult to photoshop so I give up, maybe next time:lol:)

btw: Meghan you better develop your tiara hair quickly, so difficult to find a suitable look:bang:

There you are! :flowers: https://imgur.com/a/tJkDS
(Little adjustment for color of the tiara is made.)

Also photoshopped the Teck Crescent: https://imgur.com/a/QAuWL
OT: the second one is an extra, her dress goes so well with the Crescent!

Refuse to give it up so I try another style for Teck Circle ? :https://imgur.com/a/DkJqb
(Added some volume for her hair.)

These who are buried in the vault :bang: We never know what happened to these unseen tiaras unless they appear in auction market/somebody's head/etc. So I would assume they are at somewhere of the palace (and just unluckily nobody wants to wear them). (Or just let me keep the hope that these beautiful pieces are still there :whistling:)

Actually I am not sure purchasing a tiara will be a good option. I mean we, of course, want to see a new tiara, but will the general public, especially the republican/antimonarchist, think it is an appropriate thing to do so?

W.Y.CII,
Thank you for photoshopping the Meghan Tiara photos. :rose2: :rose2: :rose2:

I really like the Teck Circle Tiara. it exceeded my expectations in terms of how good it looks, bummer that it is no longer part of the main line.

I have never gotten the accolades for the Strathmore Rose Tiara but I actually like it here. I think that if the tiara was mounted on a jeweled base like the one that is part of Teck Crescent, that would enhance it tremendously. Can that be created via photoshop?

The Teck Crescent Tiara looks alright. Other than on Mary Adelaide, that tiara looks better "on the hanger" to me. It is not a bad tiara, and if the BRF took the grab bag approach to tiara wearing that the Swedes do, it is a tiara that I would like seeing pop up every now and again.

The Diamond Lozenge Tiara looks like it would definitely fit the bill as a wedding tiara and/or starter tiara.

Some questions, may be a bit off-topic: What't really happened to the Lotus tiara? Margaret decided to return it to the main family after death or her children did inherit it but decided to sell it back to main family (or the main family purchased it back)? Because I am thinking is there any possibility that the Teck Circle goes same route as the Lotus.

The Lotus (aka Papyrus) was worn by Kate at least once.

I don't think anyone [outside the family] knows...
It is likely the Snowdens kept at least one Tiara [of the several they inherited from Princess Margaret].
They rarely appear at Royal Gala's, but it's likely they will need one for Coronation's and the odd private 'white-tie' occasion.
Of the ones we KNOW weren't sold at auction, the Teck Circle is the most wearable and versatile, so I reckon that was the one they kept, perhaps returning the exquisite 'Persian' Turquoise Tiara to the main line of the Family ?
But this IS supposition.. we do not know until either of them re-appear again..

When was the last time the Teck Circle seen? Have any of the children or the wife of the Earl of Snowden been seen in it?

That's a good question. I think that it was known even before her death that the Poltimore Tiara was Margaret's personal property. Every other tiara that she wore as an adult that I recall, were tiaras of her mother, I am unsure about other major jewels like necklaces.

A royal blogger blogger stated that the Teck Circle jewel was now the property of Margaret's son, but who knows that could have been an educated guess. I suppose if Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother gifted any jewels to Margaret when she was younger, then they would have been part of Margaret's estate, but if they were loans then they were probably willed to the current Queen.

As a Tiara by QEQM in the fifties, as a necklace by Princess Margaret in the sixties [I think]. Princess Margaret never wore it as a Tiara. The current Countess of Snowden has never worn it [at least not in public], in either of its forms.

Thank you so much !!!!

Now I am hoping Teck Crescent Tiara or Lozenge Bandeau, it seems that both look amazing on her.

I used to be on the Strathmore Rose side, but I agree with you. I am on the Lozenge Bandeau or Teck Crescent side now.

Only ones actually have to rule out are:
-ones owned by people other then the royal family: Spencer, Linley
-ones only the queen wears like Girls
-ones we KNOW belong to another royal like the dubar or greek key. Or Sophie's wedding tiara.
That leaves plenty
-lozenge tiara
-queen mother's diamond bracelet tiara
-sapphire bandeau tiara
-lotus tiara

To name a few, not to mention as suggested, making or buying a new one.

The lozenge may no longer exist,
The Sapphire bandeau has a colored stone in the center.
The lotus tiara is associated with Kate.

I think an auctioned tiara might be the best option.

Those are all pretty!! I wonder who buys tiaras these days, other than Royal families.

Collectors? Jewelers? If the stones are really nice they may be bought and repurposed.

I'm hoping for one to come out of storage....

Tiaras are bought a lot by nouveaux-riche Asian aka Chinese people and also by other persons in the middle and far east.

Pranter, This is the perfect tiara. It makes me think of Queen Alexandra and her daughter-in-law, Queen Mary.

I just love it. It's very elegant and it's different. It has presence to it even without the diamond bling.

LaRae

Absolutely but be aware Pranter will probably want to stop in a bridal shop too! Printer finds the best bling

I told my husband a couple years ago if we ever move close to town (we are in a rural setting) I would go work for a bridal shop! :D

That or a jewelry shop Pranter! I can’t comment on all the great gowns. I bet we’re delightfully surprised by Meghan’s gown. It is exciting to wonder what she’ll wear. Let’s hope hair up.

Oh she has to wear the hair up!

I could work at a jewelry shop...that would be cool.

Does anyone know if shoulders need to be covered in St George’s like they do in he Abbey?

I don't think the location matters as much as that it is a Church and a BRF wedding...so yes I would think nothing over exposed and shoulders covered.

LaRae

Wow I didn’t know that about the Abbey

Wow I didn’t know that about the Abbey

A number of Churches have 'rules' about wedding dresses. Some of them have to be approved by the priest or person in the Church that assists in wedding planning (dates etc).
