I believe in interviews she's said her style is similar to that of what her character was on Suits and a snippet here and there about liking simple/clean lines.

Most of the 'dressy' photos we have of her are at professional events and that seems to hold true to her comments.

Based on that I'd expect her wedding dress to follow that pattern, however if there's a time that women will do something more it is often on a wedding dress. So I won't be totally shocked if she has more detail, like lace or embroidered design etc.

Doesn't mean people don't recognize you. You wouldn't expect a fancy updo for a day sitting in the grass at a casual polo match. Kate rocks beautiful updos when she chooses, at formal events.

The fact is a wedding calls for a hairstyle. When you are on display for millions, you need to be on point. And a hairdo that mathes a stunning tiara. Unfortunately Kate's hairdo did not do that. Fortunately she has become much better at tiara hair.

As much as we complain about Victoria's bun or ponytail, she rocks tiaras. She is one of those women who understand the concept of tiara hair.

Meghan is an actress. She has been on the red carpet plenty. She knows when an event calls to put on the full look and her wedding is one of them. Whatever tiara and dress she chooses, she will take the care to reflect the event she is at.
No one here suggests that we all should wear only one hairstyle all the time, because that would be clearly ridiculous.

But YES, for the wedding Meghan should choose a hairstyle that is her. It would be stupid choosing a hairstyle that maybe looks beautiful and it's great with tiara, but one she feels uncomfortable with/she doesn't feel like herself. It's her wedding day and she isn't there to compliment the dress and the tiara, she's there to marry the man she loves and wants to spend the rest of her life with. It's her and his day and not everything should be done just for the people who will be watching. All the things, the dresses and tiaras and flowers are there for her, not she is there for them.

My very good friend has a beard and had one for years (10, maybe 15 years), but for his wedding he listened to his mother and shaved it completely. And after some time he admitted, that he regrets that decision, because without the beard he didn't feel like himself. He even doesn't like his wedding pictures. Not to mention the shock the bride had, since she had never seen him without a beard

And yes, Meghan is an actress and she probably knows what to do to shine. And yes, Catherine clearly can rock a beautiful updo when she wants to. But red carpets and state dinners are something completely different. This will be Meghan and Harry's wedding and to me it's clearly more personal occasion than a state dinner/diplomatic reception/red carpet event. So she should feel comfortable with her hair, she should feel like herself to enjoy the most of her day. It shouldn't be required of her to put on a show to make people happy. Yes, the wedding will be (probably) televised, but it's still a very personal event.

As for Catherine's wedding hairstyle, it was clearly one she felt comfortable with. It doesn't matter that some people on the internet forum think she wasn't "royal" enough or it didn't went good with the tiara. She was happy. William was happy. They complied with the rules of a church wedding. Yay! for them.

The Strathmore Rose may well be the best to suite all styles. Even with a relatively plain design dress it would work well IMO.

I don't think so...the Strathmore is very style specific. It wouldn't really go well with very many designs. It might work with a simple dress.

Every time I come on the thread I have to see the tiaras and I was thinking if she goes for a very white dress with interesting embroidery or overlay, the Papyrus Tiara might be the ticket. If she has a nice up-do piled up that tiara would look great against her dark hair.

P.S. It will be interesting to see how she decides to style her hair in the long haul. Her current hair style could be ascribed to acting requirements (character, professional choice). Or it might be what she genuinely prefers on a personal level.

I think the Lotus is a good option since it should go with several dress styles.

I think her hair will be up and gorgeous.

Not sure why the Spencer tiara keeps coming up. It has been established it is worn by the female members of the earl spencer's immediate family. That means wife, daughters, and daughter in laws. Meghan is none of the above.

Meghan is not marrying into the Spencer family (though her husband is part of the family). She is marrying into the Windsor family.

<snip>
I suspect the Spencer tiara keeps coming up because, besides appealing to peoples' nostalgia and sentimentality, it's just a lot more attractive than most of what's actually available.

With that said, I saw one commentator claim that it shouldn't be written off as a possibility; their reasoning was that Charles Spencer has never ignored an opportunity to use his sister or nephews for publicity.

I don't think Harry is going to ask. The ring is a nod to Diana, the location of the photo call was a nod to Diana. She doesn't have to wear the Spencer tiara to include Diana's memory. She's marrying her son.

Oh, 100% agreed. I think both brothers have been very clear that they want their wives to be taken on their own merits and not be seen as a "new Diana".

But I think the reason it's not an option is, as you've said, that Harry won't ask, not that the Spencer family would say no. CS would say yes in a new york minute, IMO, to get mentioned in the wedding coverage.

Charles will be mentioned in the wedding, as will be the Spencer family. As they will attend and are there for Diana. If Meghan wore her tiara, there would be no mention of Charles Spencer. It would be all about Diana and her legacy and so on.

Which is precisely why Harry would never ask.

If Prince Harry designs a new tiara, would the same jewellers that made the engagement ring make the new tiara?

Spencer family will be mentioned, but not at the forefront. However, with the tiara front and center, it's a different story. That's also why I think Harry wouldn't ask. Even though he wants him mom to be part of it. I don't think he wants this to be about his mother. That day is about him and his bride.

I do think it'll be Cleave and Company as they are the Crown Jeweler.

If it's a newly designed tiara. I expect it to be yellow gold and diamonds.

THIS. Never think the Spencer tiara is a option. To me it is strange to see people always want William and Harry (and their wife) to wear the Spencer tiara in honour of/as a connection to their mother. Just let them to be themselves in their big day. And even if they do want the Spencer tiara and the Spencer family say yes, I don't think BRF would allow it, they know people will interpret it in a negative way.

I don't think Harry would ever ask.
For one thing, I don't believe he and William are very close with Charles Spencer.

They didn't even attend his wedding, although they were both in the UK at the time.

The Spencer tiara belongs with the Spencer family and Meghan will mainly enter the Windsor-Mountbatten family. I don't think the sentiment would be right not to mention it gets kind of tiring to see the Diana connection have to be ingrained in some way every time. Just let it rest. Harry gave Meghan a little piece of Diana with the diamonds in her ring and Harry and William are the best examples of the legacy Diana left behind. Time to move on, but that is my opinion.

I am with you on this. I find it distinctly creepy that people keep wanting to make Catherine and now Meghan into some sort of Diana clone. Next people will be advising which of her gowns
would look good on them!😥

I wouldn't mind betting that is why comparatively litte of her jewellery has seen the light of day. William and Harry would love them to be loving gifts but 20 years have passed and they are still DIANA"S . Anyone else using them would have people reading their tea leaves to decide it's meaning.
