"Vulnerable children on the flight, one challenge for Europe

On the initiative of Queen Paola and under the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union takes place on Wednesday 17 and Thursday, November 18, 2010 a conference in the Royal Palace in Brussels with the theme "Vulnerable children on the run, a challenge for Europe. This conference is organized in cooperation with the Federal Justice, "Child Focus" and "Missing Children Europe". Besides a number of 120 experts from across Europe, the Queen hereby also wish to involve a number of High personalities, who has been working for years to protect children. So attend HH.KK.HH. Queen Silvia of Sweden, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, Infanta Cristina of Spain, the Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Mathilde, Astrid and Claire of Belgium, Ms Vike-Freiberga (former president of Latvia), Mrs. Chirac, Ms. Barroso Mrs. Van Rompuy, Mrs. Tusk (wife of the Polish Prime Minister), Mr Barrot (former Vice-President of the European Commission) and Mr. Flick (former President of the Italian Constitutional Court) the conference.
On Tuesday 16 November, the Queen's welcomes the guests of honor for a concert and a dinner at the castle of Laeken.
On Wednesday 17 November, all Guests of honor received by the President of the European Commission. The conference will be closed on 18 November with the launch of a "Patron's council" to "Missing Children Europe", the Queen, Mrs Barroso, Mrs. Chirac, Mr Barrot and Mr Flick part.
