On the occasion of Queen Paola´s upcoming birthday the King and the Queen host a reception in honour of persons who voluntarily or professionally help to protect children in need. They invited 800 persons for a walk in the park followed by a reception at the Greenhouses of Laeken.

Prince Philippe, Honorary President of the International Polar Foundation, inaugurates the pre-built Princess Elisabeth Antarctica Station at the Tour&Taxis site in Brussels. The site will be open to the public from 6 to 9 September 2007 before it is disassembled and transported by ship to Antarctica, where it will be re-assembled from November to February 2008.

Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde, as well as Gueorgui PARVANOV and Traian BASESCU and their spouses, attend the opening concert Europalia.europe at Brussels`Centre for Fine Arts.
