Wonderful photoshoot, I especially loved seeing Queen Fabiola, it's always nice seeing her out and looking good.
Also, how cute are these ( 1, 2, 3) pictures of Prince Philippe and Princess Elisabeth? This one of Princess Eléonore and Queen Fabiola is also precious.

Princess Elisabeth is a complete daddy's girl
I also loved how Emmanuel sat between his two grandparents, who bestowed him a lot of affection, it's a great way of showing that they love him regardless of his learning disability and a great example for a lot of people

You took the words right out of my mouth - while enjoying the corresponding pictures I recalled how Queen Paola spontaneously brought along the twin princes Aymeric and Nicolas to one of her official appearances in December 2011, demonstrating her solidarity to Prince Laurent's family and her love towards her grandchildren in view of that persisting controversy around Prince Laurent's actions in Africa...

I totally agree with you. I think Queen Paola and King Albert are awesome Mamina and Papino You feel so much love and affection. Playing with the young ones, having a discussion with the old ones. I think they are better grandparents than they were parents.

I agree with you here as well! Albert and Paola had too many issues in their marriage when they were younger, so thankfully Baudouin and Fabiola were around to set things straight with their kids, specially with Philippe (sadly I think Laurent was pushed to the back by everyone and that's why he has a strange behavior at times).
Right now they are enjoying their golden years together and you can tell the grandchildren adore them, I also like how Fabiola is treated by the youngsters as another grandma

Very well said! Albert and Paola seem to be a pair of wonderful grandparents who love their grandchildren unconditionally, it looks like they have a special relationship to each of their grandchildren.

I don't remember ever hearing about Emmanuel having a learning disablity, what kind? My grandson is developmentally delayed, so I am always interested, thanks!

I do not know if Princess Eléonore was very happy being kissed by Queen Fabiola, looking at her facial expression.
But therefore I like it very much, a very precious photo, indeed

Eléonore is a tempered young lady and usually does the "b-face" at photoshoots
Philippe has such an easy way with children, you can tell not only his own kids love him but Louise, Aymeric and Nicolas as well

Wonderful photoshoot. The kids look happy and relaxed. I saw a photo of Philippe, Astrid and Laurent a while ago as kids and thought that Elisabeth, Gabriel and Emmanuel were spitting images of them.

Wonderful photoshoot, the kids are all so cute.
I think I 've never seen the family all together like in one pic (my fault I know) and I just realized how big the family is. It's amazing how just from 3 kids, Albert and Paola have so many grandkids...

Maria Laura and Luisa Maria aren't there, normally there are 12 grandkids :)
On the website of the Belgian monarchy you have a picture of all the grandkids

I really liked the photoshoot but there are a few pics that stand out from the rest, one of my particular favorites, Philippe is such a proud father and Elisabeth looks more and more like a young lady every day that passes by, he's probably thinking about how will he have to scare the possible boyfriends off one day

I see Gabriel more like Mathilde, he has her smile and her eyes, Emmanuel on the other side is his dad in miniature: same eyes, nose, mouth, Elisabeth is a mix of the two (leaning towards his side of the family, specially Queen Paola) and Eléonore is 100% Mathilde but seems to be the one with her Uncle Laurent and twin cousins' personality

Are they likely to bring these photos out as postcards that we could buy?
