King's Feast 2004 - 2011
La Fête du Roi, Koningsfeest. Also often called the feast of the dynastie.
As each year on the 15th of November (saint Leopold), the royal family is celebrated. The members of the RF (except the king and queen -they don't celebrate themselves- ) attend a Te Deum in the sts Michel and Gudule cathedral in Brussels.
In the afternoon, around 16h30, a more official ceremony will take place, for the 4th time, at the federal parliament. Shadi Torbey, finalist of the queen Elisabeth competition 2004, and living in Belgium, will end the ceremony with singing the Brabançonne.

Nice pictures...Matilde looks great. Maxima has the same outfit (jacket) as Mathilde....again.
mmmm Maxima should find a new place to buy her clothes...Not that Eduard is bad, and also not because he´s a foreign Designer.

I agree. It would be something it they both attended the same event with the same dress! But I doubt the Natan designer would allow that. But Mathilde has dibs on him so Maxima and the others should find another designer

Its so nice to see Claire after such a long time. Mathilde looks nice, but what's with the two "M" women and tweed....

I really like Claires suede(?) coat, Astrid also looks great, as for Mathilde, Im not a fan of the coat and hat (did not like it on Maxima either) sort of makes her look like a walking carpet, a very elegant one though:) . The colours are flattering on her I think and I like the skirt and shoes.

I completely agree with your comments Larzen, Claire's coat is gorgeous, and Astrid looks 10 years younger than she is (and she's a mother of 5!!). But Mathilde's outfit is really not my thing. The dress and shoes are very nice but the coat and hat look like what a grandmother would wear, far too heavy (like it was for Maxima). These tweed outfits are from Natan btw.

Claire and Astrid look wonderful. Mathilde´s smile is lovely as everytime but I don´t like her dress.

I just saw on tv that Mathilde wore something different for the visit to parliament. Something pretty :)

I agree that Claire and Astrid look lovely. I'm a little disappointed with Mathilde though. The carpet jacket is bearable (just), but the hat...well, that's another story. She still looks beautiful despite the clothing. :p

Im just glad she did not wear the skirt aswell And thankfully she is better at picking shoes and stockings than Maxima so it not a total disaster, but the hat is really to much for my taste. She is sweet as usual though...

I agree. :) The shoes were stunning. Does anyone know who they were by?

I don't know who designed them, but she also wore them at Elisabeth's baptism (December 2001) and the wedding of WA and Máxima (February 2002).

Beautiful pictures.Thanks for posting them.
Now to the superficial part..:p
I must say that I really like Princess Claire's hair, I think a longer length suits her very well. I must say though, that I am not a fan of the floor length suede coat, I think it would've looked much nicer knee-length.
As for the ever beautiful and serene Duchess of Brabant. I agree with everyone that the coat is too heavy. However, I wouldn't have mind if she didn't wear the matching hat, that ruined it for me. But she seldom wears something I don't like so all is forgiven:p .
Princess Astrid and Queen Fabiola both look fantastic.:)

Is it just me or did I miss seeing the Queen and King at the King's feast?
