Accordign to the Flemish press her parents didn't want her to learn Flemish.
She and her brothers goes to "taalkampen". It's a camp during the vacation (mostly summer vacation), where you learn dutch while doing an other activity, like horse riding or surf.
What the Walloon press (the flemish press only took it over) said was wrong is that the little princess is in a private school. They feel offended "Is the education in public school not good enough?"

I know this thread is not about princess Louise. And I find she did read very well. She's still very young and talking as good as she did in front of a big audience while mourning over someone of her family... it's amazing

The idea is that the Dutch-speaking press is bashing the royals and the French-speaking press is supporting them. Reality is more diffuse, so to see.

No, even the Empress of Japan had to wait ages before she could leave the Cathedral. While people were stumbling out of the Cathedral and could even go back in (rain) they could see the senior foreign royal guests waiting, and waiting, and waiting and looking around and waiting again. Thanks for mentioning my eyewitness report. :)

Of the highest ranking royals guests, the Empress was the first to leave. But, indeed, some lower ranking guests had already left before her (not to mention the 'ordinary citizens', like me), f.e. Grand Duke George. The senior royals waited in their seats, it was not like they were just standing by the door of the Cathedral. As you can see in my pictures, one by one, they walked from their seats straight to the door and left. :)
