the Belvédère. This is the home of Albert and Paola, they moved in here when they got married, their 3 children were born and grew up there.

It was built at the end of the 18th century.

Stuyvenberg, the home of Fabiola.

It used to be the home of Leopold III and Astrid. Baudouin and Albert were born here. When Astrid died, in 1935, Leopold coudn't bear to live there anymore, because it was full of memories of his beloved wife. The family moved to Laeken and queen Elisabeth (Leopold III's mother) came to live at Stuyvenberg untill her death in 1965.

After the death of king Beaudouin, Fabiola left the castle of Laeken and came to live at Stuyvenberg.

I hate it when royals choose to live in a brick Southfork,

like willem alexander and maxima (a monstrous thing christiana had built and lived in with guillermo)
like the home of constantine and anne marie in england
like the former home of andrew and fergie too.

there are houses, castles begging to be restored and they have the means and the know how to do so.

Of course they have to live as they like but it is funny that their ancestors chose to build architecturarly important buildings and they do not.

It's used for official occasions. Just a part of the palace, and sometimes the greenhouses too.

The park is private.
