02/02/2009 Prince Philippe will visit the Nike logistic centre for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in Laakdal.

03/02/2009 Queen Paola visits Sint-Pietersschool in Anderlecht (Brussels), where the Foundation Queen Paola has organised the project "School of Hope", which stimulates the development of the children through art.

03/02/2009 Princess Astrid received a delegation from APOPO at the Royal Palace in Brussels. This organization is actively involved in the battle against landmines in Mozambique and Tanzania.

05/02/2009 The King and Queen will visit "Samusocial" in Brussels. This is an organization which is concerned with giving First Aid (of all kinds) to the homeless.

06/02/2009 The Crown-Princely couple have received a visit from the Indonesian Vice-President Kalla and his wife. Princess Mathilde and Mrs. Kalla visited Technopolis.

06/02/2009 Prince Philippe attends the General Assembly of the Federal Council for Sustainable Development, of which he is Honorary President.

07/02/2009 Prince Laurent attends an academic session in honour of the 15th birthday of the Belgian Organization for Children and adults with a metabolic disorder (BOKS) at the City Hall of Antwerp.

09/02/2009 Prince Philippe has accompanies a team of the “Samu social”, called “la maurade” on their evening travels through Brussels, to become acquainted with the problems of isolated and homeless people.

10/02/2009 Princess Mathilde visits the University revalidation hospital “Léonard de Vinci” in Montigny-le-Tilleul (CHU Charleroi).

12/02/2009 King Albert is to visit TNT Airways and TNT Express in Grâce-Hollogne.

13/02/2009 Crown Prince Philippe and Princess Elisabeth visit the International Polar Foundation in Brussels to record a video message for the scientists on the Princess Elisabeth Antarctica Polar Station, which is inaugurated on 15 February.

17/02/2009 The King, the Queen, Crown Prince Philippe, Crown Princess Mathilde, Princess Astrid, Prince Lorenz and Princess Claire attend the commemoration mass in honour of the deceased members of the Royal family at the Church of Our Lady in Laecken which is held especially in remembrance of the 75th anniversary of the death of King Albert I this year.

17/02/2009 King Albert II attends a ceremony in commemoration of the 75th birhtday of King Albert I's deathly fall in Marche-Les-Dames.

18/02/2009 Crown Prince Philippe attends the memorial service of the 100th anniversary of Albert I taking the oath (the first time in both French and Dutch), and the 75th anniversary of his fatal accident in Liège.

19/02/2009 King Albert visits CERN in Geneva (European Organization for Nuclear Research), where he will learn about the possible advantages of the LHC and the (pretty large) Belgian contribution to the project.

19/02/2009 Invited by Mrs Mubarak, the Queen attends a meeting of the Honorary Comittee of the International
Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) in Cairo. The Queen is Honorary President of Child Focus.

19/02/2009 Princess Mathilde visits the new Braille Museum in Brussels, to honour the 200th anniversary of the birth of Louis Braille.

03/03/2009 Princess Astrid visits a number of social projects which fight against poverty and for equal opportunities in Maasmechelen, Genk and Hasselt.

04/03/2009 Prince Philippe visits one of the 6 centres of vzw KOMPAS in Kortrijk, Belgium. vzw KOMPAS guides and helps drug users and their families through rehab and reintegration.

05/03/2009 Princess Mathilde visits the RITS (part of Erasmus Hogeschool), a school for audiovisual and dramatic arts and techniques in Brussels.

06/03/2009 Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde host a luch at the Palace of Laecken for many dignitaries for the occasion of Women's Day.

09/03/2009 Prince Philippe attends a "networking cocktail" party with all participants to the economic missions of 2008 at the Egmont Palace, Brussels.

10/03/2009 Princess Mathilde is invited by the "Lady Ambassadors" as special guest to attend the discussion of the group about the UN Millenium Development Goals, held in occasion of Women's Day.

11/03/2009 Princess Mathilde visits the "read aloud" project "5 voor 5" (5 to 5) of the St Pieterscollege & St Jozefhandelsschool in Blankenberge. She also visits the home work guidance project "t Jolletje".

11/03/2009 Princess Mathilde visits the Children's Oncology Department of the University Hospital Ghent, where she talked to the children and their parents about their struggles, hopes and fears. The visit was to show her support for the annual "Kom Op Tegen Kanker" campaign.

12/03/2009 King Albert II attends a meeting about the evolution and nature of scientific research within the Defense Department. He also visits an exhibition about the history of the KMS/ERM (Royal Military School), which celebrates a double birthday this year (175/100).

13/03/2009 Princess Astrid attends the press conference of the "Roll Back Malaria" Partnership at the Residence Palace in Brussels, where she speeches herself.

14/03/2009 Princess Mathilde attends the women's symposium "In dialogue about what binds and moves us" at the Flemish Parliament in Brussels.

16/03/2009 Princess Mathilde attends a meeting about "Children, youngsters and adults with special needs: a holistic approach or join forces across disciplines" at the Guislain education center in Ghent. Afterwards she will visit the exhibition about the history of mental health care at the Guislain Museum.

19/03/2009 King Albert II and Queen Paola visit the EAC (European Astronaut Center) in Köln (Porz-Wahn). They meet Belgian astronaut Frank De Winne, who will be the first ever non-Russian/non-American astronaut in charge of the ISS. They will also receive information about ESA and the Belgian contributions to this organization.

21 to 27/03/2009 Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde leave on an economic mission to Mexico and Panama from 21 March until 27 March. The Princess will only attend the part in Mexico, participating mostly in events to promote the Belgian image.

24/03/2009 Queen Paola attended the production "Silence des mères" (The silence of the mothers) of the theatre company Biolox 48, at the Cultural Centre of Huy.

24/03/2009 Prince Laurent attends the opening of Hanger S in Mechelen, Belgium.

25/03/2009 King Albert attends the academic session of the organization Actiris at the Egmont Palace, Brussels, in honour of it's 20th anniversary.

26/03/2009 Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz attend the opening of the exhibition "Charles the Bold (1433-1477) - Splendour in Burgundy" in Bruges.

26/03/2009 Princess Claire attends the inauguration of the new exhibition rooms of the "Treasure of the Liege Cathedral".

27/03 to 03/04/2009 Princess Astrid goes on a trip around UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia as Special Representative for the Roll Back Malaria Partnership, to support the programme, and to raise awareness of the nature of the disease in those countries.

27/03/2009 Princess Mathilde attends the conference about women and entrepreneurship, organized by the organizations Markant, Unizo and TRIAS. The conference is held at the KBC building in Brussels.

30/03/2009 Princess Mathilde visits the farm ’t Goteringenhof in Gooik/Kester, which is a social guidance programme, aimed at children and the elderly. After the visit, there will be an informal lucheon with some of the farmers.

27/04/2009 Prince Philippe and Flemish Minister of Well-beiong Veerle Heeren visit the Center for suicide prevention. The Prince meets with volunteers who provide permanence at the suicide prevention hotline, and follows a simulated conversation.

28/04/2009 King Albert awards the "Federal Price for the Fight against Poverty 2009", which takes place at the press centre of the Residence Palace in Brussels.

28/04/2009 Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde attend the 14th Gala evening of the Support Council Antwerp of the King Baudouin Foundation at the Province House (Provinciehuis) in Antwerp.

29/04/2009 Prince Philippe visits the Errerahouse in Brussels, to show his support for the Flemish suicide prevention programme, meeting teenagers who have been confronted with such tragedies from close by.

30/04/2009 King Albert visits the DELHAIZE Groep in Anderlecht (Brussels). He will attend a meeting and visit a supermarket of the chain in Laken.

30/04/2009 Queen Paola and Princess Claire visit the exhibition "Charles the Bold (1433-1477): Splendour in Burgundy" in Bruges.​

30/04/2009 Princess Mathilde will award the "InBev-Baillet Latour Award for the promotion of health 2009" at the Palace of Academies in Brussels. There will also be an Award for Clinical Research.​

12/05/2009 Queen Paola attends the presentation of the Award Herman Houtman 2009, organised to honour the 20th anniversary of the Fund Houtman at the cultural Centre Wolubilis at St-Lambrechts-Woluwe

13/05/2009 King Albert hosts a reception for the Ambassadors and their spouses at the Royal Palace in Laken. Princess Mathilde accompanies him today.

18/05/2009 Princess Mathilde participates in the colloquium at the Senate, held in honour of Dr. Peter Piot, former Deputy Secretary-General of the UN and current Executive Director of the UNAIDS programme. The Princess is Special Representative for UNAIDS.

23/06/2009 Princess Mathilde gives the starting signal to a jury who will decide on the laureates of a drawing competition for children at the European School in Ukkel. The jury also consists of children, and the subject of the competition is the equality between men and women. The competition was organized by the European Comission and targets children of 8 to 10 years of age.

29/06/2009 Prince Philippe visits C-Power, a company which builds the windmills at the Thornton bank in the North Sea, in Ostend. He also flies to the windmill park by helicopter.

30/06/2009 King Albert and Queen Paola visit the city of Hannut.

30/06/2009 Prince Laurent visits the Natuurhulpcentrum (Nature Help Center) in Opglabbeek, where he visits the lion Brutus, who mas mistreated in the circus he was rescued from. The center now takes care of him temporarily.

03/07/2009 Prince Laurent visits the Faculty of Veterinary Medecine of the Ghent University, in honour of the 75th anniversary of the faculty. Hi will award the "Equine Research and Welfare Fund"- prize of the Foundation Prince Laurent.

07 - 09/07/2009 King Albert and Queen Paola are on an official State Visit to Romania, at the invitation of H.E. President Traian Basescu. They will visit the capital Bukarest and the city of Sibiu.

07/07/2009 Princess Astrid visits "De Hoge Rielen" in Lichtaart, a holiday camp for disabled children.

08/07/2009 Prince Philippe visits Toyota Parts Center Europe in Diest.

10/07/2009 Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde attend the Coronation Procession in Tongeren.

10/07/2009 Prince Laurent and Princess Claire formally and officially accept the first grapes from Overijse from 2009.

11/07/2009 Prince Philippe presides the remembrance ceremony for the Belgian soldiers who died during the two World Wars. The ceremony willtake place at Whitehall in London, and will be attended by Belgian and British veterans. It is the 75th anniversary of this ceremony, which was first organized in honour of the death of King Albert I of Belgium.

13/07/2009 King Albert takes the oath of mr. Peeters, who will be Minister President of the government of the Flemish community and territory in Belgium.

13/07/2009 Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde attend the Festival de Aix-en-Provence in France. The festival is organized by the Belgian Bernard Foccroulle. The Prince and Princess will attend the opera "Idomeneo" by W.A. Mozart, where the Belgian soprano Sophie Karthäuser plays Ilia.

15/07/2009 Queen Paola attends the exhibition "Against the Day" by artist Luc Tuymans, at the Center for Contemporary Arts WIELS in Vorst.

16/07/2009 King Albert takes the oath from Mr. Piqué, who will be Minister President of the government of the Brussels Capital Territory, and from Mr. Demotte, Minister President of the government of the Walloon territory and of the Francophone community in Belgium.

16/07/2009 Princess Mathilde visits the "Centrum voor Kinderzorg en Gezinsondersteuning" (Center for Childcare and Famlily Support) and the playground organization at the Domein Horst in Schoten, in honour of the 75th anniversary of the CKG.

17/07/2009 Princess Mathilde visits a summer school in Antwerp, where children are given a "language bath" during the summer months.

20/07/2009 The King will open the summer exposition "Science at the Palace", an exhibition held at the Palace of Brussels during the tilme that it is open for the public.

21/07/2009 The royal family attend the military parade in honour of the Belgian National day, as well as several activities around Brussels. In the morning they will attend the Te Deum masses around the country.

24/07/2009 Prince Lorenz attends an academic session in honour of the 100th anniversary of the Royal Saint-Hubert Club de Belgique (RSHCB) at the Foire de Libramont (Walexpo).

26/07 - 13/09/2009 The Royal Palace in Brussels is open to the public from 26/07 to 13/09/2009, from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm, every day except on Mondays.
