Lindsay Edwards, runs a translation agency in Schaesbeek that works for the Belgian embassy in London.

Melissa Maas-Van Waeyenberge. Apothecary, is engaged in a fund that raises money for research of leucemia.

Patricia Vlerick, ennobled in 1999, daughter of Leon Bouckaert, who organised the horse racing competitions of Waregem.

The king appointed the historian Vincent Viaene as one of his advisors. Viaene used to teach at Oxford. He is known for his book about the 'Congo in Belgium'.

Countess Solange de Liederkerke died last week in Brussels at the age of 85. The countess was a lady-in-waiting to Queen Fabiola for 50 years, from 1960 to 2010. The countess was interred in the family tomb in Eijsden, The Netherlands, on March 4th. The countess is survived by her sister, brother, nephews and nieces.

The article states that the five are more "eredames" (Ladies of Honour) than "hofdames" (Ladies-in-Waiting). The difference seems that Solange gravin de Liedekerke (Fabiola), Colette gravin de Brocqueville (Paola) and Nathalie prinses de Merode (Paola) were in paid service to the Queen.
