Best Evening Gown: March 2015

I liked Queen Margrethe's pale blue dress. Since it received several votes I can be sure that I'm not alone with that opinion. But she has already repeated it this month for her birthday dinner. That's a bit too early imo, but it's typical for Queen Daisy!

I voted for Queen Margrethe on March 17, because that shade of blue looks wonderful on her and she rocks gowns. She also looks every inch the Queen here.

Runners up are CP Victoria's green gown, Queen Maxima's blue gown, and Queen Letizia's dusky grey gown.

Lalla Salma indeed looked stunning, she knows what suits her and chose colours that flatter her so much. But the other Morrocan ladies in their caftons looked gorgeous as well. Especially the purple of Lalla Meryem's gown stands out, imo.

It's lovely to see more details of the dress. In the wide shots the material didn't really show. I love the lacy details of the shawl. Wonder if the skirt is also made with lace?

I wasn't overly impressed with the front view of Mary's black gown, but the back view has made me appreciate it. It's actually a lovely dress.

I like them all, as long as the fit is loose and comfort fitting. The style is dependent on the material, dependent on the occasion. Personally I like the pinkish, beige and brown combo. Either green, orange, yellow or pink with beige and brown and I could like it. Really though the March 11th with the satiny material and March 18th with the white ruffles I favor. I'd wear them all.

The thing I disliked about Mary's black strapless gown was the bust. I thought it looked a bit tight, almost like her chest was slightly squished/flattened. Although that impression might be due to the fact that the fabric was stiff and shiny.
