GD Henri will be in Pyeongchang, South Korea 5-11 February. As a member of the IOC, he will attend the IOC meeting from 5-8 February and attend the opening ceremony on the 9th.

GD Henri attended the 132nd IOC session in PyeongChang, South Korea and events related to the Olympic Solidarity Commission from February 5-8th.

The Board of Directors for the Fondation du Grand-Duc et de la Grande-Duchesse met at Château de Berg on February 28th where Mike van Kauvenbergh was named Director for the Fondation. He was former CFL Communications manager and marketing director at Sales-Lentz. The previous Fondation director, Guy Schmit, left in March 2017.

GD Maria Teresa, in her capacity as President of the Luxembourg Red Cross, recently participated in the Streetwork Uewerstad activities. Besides meals and refuge, the initiative offers the poor services to improve their daily lives. Maria Teresa met with homeless of the city and visited one of the Luxembourg Red Cross' night shelters.

On April 26th, GD Maria Teresa received Mrs. Hanan Al Hroub for an audience. Mrs. Hanan Al Hroub, who grew up in a refugee camp, developed a methodology to reduce violent behavior in her Palestinian pupils; she received the "Global Teacher Prize" in 2016.
