Actually, I believe that she had two caesarean births. I know that Guillaume was a caesarean birth, but I can't remember which of the other four was as well. I'm pretty certain there was another one.

I, too, hope that she is okay and its not cancer related, because I've heard from other sources that many people in her family have died of cancer. In fact, I believe that her mother may have died of cancer.

Hola has an article about the Grand Duchess' surgery:
María Teresa de Luxemburgo intervenida con éxito en un hosp |Noticias hola.com

It says that the surgery was planned a while ago, and that the Grand Duchess is doing well and has not had any complications. She had the surgery in Brussels, where it was performed by one of the best gynecological doctors in the world. The article says that the type of surgery has not been revealed, but it is likely that it was a gynecological surgery due to the fact that it was performed by a specialist in that field. The Grand Duchess will require several weeks to completely recover from the surgery.

Changing the topic for a minute, I used to be able to find in RTL.lu an ongoing program that reported on the Luxembourg Royal Family. There was this woman who would give updated news reports every month or so. It was archived in the video section of RTL.lu. Try as I may, I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Has this been moved somewhere else, or was it just canceled? It was very interesting because one would actually see the royal family and they were sometimes interviewed.

Place Royale is the show you are referring to. I cannot find the archives of this show either. I haven't heard anything about a new episode since 2008 and no one appears to have saved the videos. I've actually found links to the show in the archives but the links are all dead.

RTL videos can all be saved on realplayer but I have yet to encounter anyone who actually saved them. Felix and Guillaume were both interviewed for this program....it would make interesting viewing if someone saved them.

Thank you for getting back to me on this. You see, I was afraid that I was searching incorrectly and that's why I couldn't find it. Yes! Palace Royale! That's what it was called. What a shame that it was canceled [?] and removed from the online archives section. Had I known that they could have been saved in Real Player, I definitely would have archived them all. They were all very good. It was interesting to see the royal family talking and going about their royal duties as opposed to just seeing them in photographs.

It's Place Royale not Palace Royale. Several of the episodes about the Belgian RF are on youtube but none of the ones on Luxembourg (I've searched).

Additional photos of the 65 year celebration.

Grand Duke Henri hiked through Wolf's Glen in honor of the 20th anniversary of the commission to protect "Little Switzerland", which is a nature preserve that contains endangered species and archaeological sites:
