Probably, she must have freaked out when she found out about the pregnancy :o

I wouldn't doubt for a moment that she freaked over the pregnancy. Although from looking at the pics the style that she used in wearing the scarf is actually more commonly used by elderly women so that might have contributed to the thought of her looking older.

But you could see it in her face. I guess that not only does she look older, but she is dressing older.

I think that she is in her late forties.

I agree that outfit makes her look older than her years. The Grand Duchess is wearing something that could easily be called age appropiate for a woman of sixty years or more.

Thanks Mathilde. :)

I wonder if the Grand Duchess was simply trying something new? I can't recall seeing her wear anything so different from her normal choices in attire in a while or even wearing a scarf in that manner. Her clothing usually suits her much better.

MT is 49. This is the first time she really hasn't dressed for her age.

Yes, I remember seeing her in a tight, hot pink outfit once. She looked really nice.

Tight? Not MT! She is a little classier than tight, hot pink things. Although she did wear a tight gold dress once. But she looked stunning in it.

No, no. She did wear it once. I would look for it, but I wouldn't know where to begin...maybe a day when I have a lot of spare time. :)

if by hot pink outfit, are you talking about the one she wore during the natl. day celebrations? if so, it wasn't tight at all. alex had on a tight hot pink dress that was quite short when she sat down.

And not forget the animal prints she wore once with a very awful orange tan

The latest issue of Hola (latest for me in North America, it may not be the latest issue in Europe) with Letizia in a soft pink jacket and dress on the cover has a photo spread of the Grand Ducal family taken on the palace premises. It's a very nice multi-page spread that's worth a look if you're a fan of this family.

Thanks, Alexandria, I'll have to venture out to see if any local bookstores carry it!

I remember that gold dress. She looked absolutely amazing in that dress. It's my personal favorite up to date of all the dresses she's worn.

Mine too. I think that she had also lost some weight before she wore it.

I've found some beautiful pics about the Grand Ducal couple hosting the president of Mali in my newpaper.:)

Unfortunately there are some problems; 1) with the new rules it's getting really really difficult to post pics here without seeing them deleted :(
2) the e-paper of my newspaper is down actually:(
3) I probably have to scan them but there again it's difficult to post them elsewhere in order to respect the new tough posting rules (you have to distinguish old pics from new pics, give credit to the photographer, ...)

I guess during next week I will be able to post them here though!

PS: It was much funnier a few months ago here! Now you risk to get banned if you want to post pics!

Nobody has ever said that you'll be banned if you do not comply with the Attachment and Copyright rules. Please show me where it states this in the Posting Rules & Guidelines?

Secondly, we are experiencing a severe bandwidth issue. There have been many wonderful royal events within the past several months including royal weddings, births and numerous state visits that have resulted in hundreds, even thousands of photos being posted here. As we want to enjoy these new images, we have developed a policy to allow for the sharing of photos but to also facilitate our bandwidth issues.

TRF Team Members and other members have posted many helpful links and tips in regards to free photo agency accounts such as Supload, Photobucket and Image Shack, at which members can host old images and share them here, so it is not as if you have to go through such an ordeal to post an image.

As far as the Copyright Rule goes, that is just rightful crediting to the hard work of writers and photographers and magazines. It is also a legal manner in which TRF can protect ourselves. Would it be better if we allowed for any and all manner of copyrighted material to be posted but then be shut down?

The Posting Rules & Guidelines are to protect us as a forum but to also so that we can continue to enjoy sharing articles, images and information. If anyone has further issues with these rules then please take it up with a member of the moderating team personally. This thread is for news and current pictures of the Grand Ducal couple.
