Well Constantijn and Laurentien have a full planned weekend. Appointments made a long time before the swedish weddingdate was set.
Besides they have the birthday of their daughter Eloise.
Princess Beatrix attends the Bilderberg Conference which she actually never misses.

Maybe that they will have to ask their cousins van Vollenhoven in the future

I am sad to see that there are not many royals really for this wedding -- yes, I know she is the third child of the king and its not an important wedding really according to some. In the end, she is still the daughter of a king and I would assume that there would be more representatives in the royals department than just four or so families! It saddens me.

Will Carl Philip and Sofia's wedding be like this or will he get more because he is the only son and second child of the king?

I am surprised that at the wedding will not be present Princess Benedikte's husband Princes Richard and childrens: Prince Gustav (with his lovely girlfriend Carina), Princess Alexandra with her husband and Princess Natalia also with her husband... For me more would be expected that there won't be Wassex than their.

W-A and Maxima aren't there because they are not Prince and Princess anymore and everyone else probably had engagements. Philippe and Matilde are in USA. Don't know why Spain didn't sent anyone.

Carl Philips future wedding will probably be similar to this one. Queen Margrethe will likely be there then because she is his godmother.

Infanta Elena is the eldest child of Their Majesties,Cristina is the third child but there's not a chance that Spain would send the Duchess of Palma to represent the Borbóns!

Crown Prince Phillpe is undertaking solo engagements in the USA. Quoting Marengo from the thread devoted to the economic mission in question:

They way people are carrying on about the lack of Dutch representation you would almost think WA had declared war on Sweden. Usually such angitation is saved for the BRF because only the monarchs youngest son and his wife are sent to such events. People seem much less fussed about the lack of Belgian or Spanish representation though. Its only a wedding after all.
