I am curious why Madeleine (and Victoria) wear a small portrait of their father pinned to their ball gowns. Does anyone know why?

It is what is called a family order, and it is given to adult (or late teens) female members of the royal family. A new order is issued at the beginning of each reign. Britain (Queen EII wears one from her father's and grandfather's reign), Norway, and Denmark also have similar orders.
Just in case you're wondering, Christian, there is no sash or star associated with these orders.

What is the "Order of Innocence"?
Is it a order especially awarded to well-behaved teenagers??
Is it on every year?? Or is it a new event because I have never seen it before. Where were the other members of the royal family?

I think she looks great. She is far more beautiful than her sister in my opinion. I don't like the shoes and pair of silver ones would have looked nice with that dress.

IMO, Madeleine is wearing the same gown as Willem&Maxima's Wedding in 2002 - and not a new one because maybe she's saving for a new ball gown for Nobel Prize this December and maybe another new ball gown for Queen Silvia's 60th Birthday this December also.
When Madde wore it to Willem&Maxima's Wedding - i thought it's ugly. Now i realize that it's not about the gown - it's just the hairstyle that i don't like before. because I think now that it is very lovely- with that new hairstyle

I´m quite sure, that she will wear a new one. And I hope her sister will wear a new one too. They shouldn´t save money, when it comes up to the Nobel prize award. I would say there are a lot of people, which know the swedish RF just because of the Nobel prize award. And so I hope they will try hard(er) to impress them.
But I doubt, that she will wear something special on her mother´s birthday...there are no big celebrations planned.

Hmmm...I kind of like the neckband/choker thing...but maybe that's just me....
Anywho....what's the deal with the white gloves? Everyone is wearing them, and Victoria did as well in the pictures from 1997...Is it something to do with the Order?
