I think she will attend the ceremony and then not take part at the reception...

Being that the wedding is June 13th she could be due at the end of June, depending on how she is feeling she could still attend the wedding.

It will likely depend on how she feels. If the child is born a few days before or if she is feeling unwell and it's due at any time she will not be there. If there is still a couple of weeks until the birth is planned and she is feeling well, she may go to the Church ceremony but not to the reception.

I think Madeleine will make every effort to attend the wedding ceremony of Carl Philip and Sofia. I think she will only not attend if she had only given birth in the days previous or she was feeling unwell.

The court said the birth would not conflict with the wedding. Unless the child decides to arrive early I believe Madeleine will be there. She loves her brother and would not want to miss his wedding I believe.

Oh I can only imagine it now..............Madeleine would be vilified beyond all belief, even if it was proven medically that she was not able to attend.

I can only imagine what the Swedish press will write if Madeleine doesn't go to the wedding...

Yes, and then eventually when there are more articles written about her than Sofia and the wedding itself, she will get the blame for that too.

yes, and she purposelly got pregnant in order to catch the attention for her because she dislikes Sofia:whistling: Mean, mean Madde.... and poor poor Sofia, such a victim:bang: Oh yeah, the media will have a field day with this crap

Margareta Thorgren (who is with the king and queen at the state visit) said to Aftonbladet:
- We have gone out with that Princess Madeleine expecting a baby this summer, and that means they are expecting a baby in late June.
The Queen referred to the wedding of Prince Carl Philip and Sofia Hellqvist, to be held on 13 June. Now the royal family keeps their fingers crossed that the childbirth does not clash with the wedding festivities.
- There's a lot happening during the same month so we can never know. But hopefully it will not crash. There is an intense month and above all a very fun start to the summer with both the wedding and birth. But it can also be in July, said Thogren.
It is less than four months away now. How is Princess Madeleine?
- Princess Madeleine feels great, said Thorgren.

I thought the baby was due in early June. Thanks for the info LadyFinn! Generally the second child comes earlier and in case of Leonore's birth, she came a bit early too, even though she was a first child. Who knows

Svensk Damtidning writes about where Madeleine will be giving birth, Leonore was born at the exclusive private hospital, Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York. SD has talked with many "sources" and they are convinced that Madeleine will choose private BB Sophia in Stockholm, which is closest to Weill Cornell in Sweden. Princess Christina inaugurated it last year. According to SD it is popular in Madeleine's circles to give birth there. BB Sophia doesn't have the same specialist competence than for instance Karolinska University Hospital (where Victoria gave birth), but Madeleine has given birth before and it seems that the royal family women have easy childbirths. And of course she has access to a specialist team.

A 14th of June has been mentioned?

Is the baby due; beginning/middle/end of June?

Oh, no! Could we just take it as a given that all the variables have been discussed! I can't take it.

We could just do some cut and paste ?

Hahahahahahaha! I think we should.

No kidding!!! These royal baby watches are getting to be like U.S. presidential elections. :ermm:

Margareta Thorgren said to Expressen that of course there is a planning when birth is approaching regarding Madeleine at Carl Philip's wedding. But they don't go out and talk about the planning.
Will there be an ambulance ready close to the Church?
- I have no more comments, more than that there is a readiness and planning regarding Princess Madeleine.
Can it be actual that Princess Madeleine will not attend the wedding?
- Once she is in the ninth month, things can happen, and it is included in the planning and includes acute events.
How is Princess Madeleine at the moment?
- The princess is doing well, says Margareta Thorgren.

:previous: Well I think it is obvios: thoretically she is going to he brother's wedding but I think she will make a last-minute decision, based on how she feels that day...and of course there must be emergency means in case she feels unwell or labour begins... Pregnancy is already unpredictable, let alone the last month!

I hope that Madeleine, Christopher and Leonore will be able to attend the wedding!

God forbid should Madeleine be unable to attend the wedding she will be vilified by the press and media.

She is well into her nine month! No other royal women attended important event late in their pregnacy IIRC, and if she won't attend I will be more than understanding... Howver, if nothing occurs with her baby I think she will be there... Maybe she is going to skip the reception but I doubt she'll miss the ceremony...

Yes, but a royal wedding is completely a different thing, isn't it?

Yes and I agree with you above- I think there is very little besides her water breaking or her being in the hospital that will keep her from missing her brothers wedding. My Step Mom gave birth to my brother just about a week before her sister got married (he was born early) and she still managed to be at the wedding and was planning on it even if she was pregnant. I think it will be similar for Madeleine.

:previous: I agree, unless Madeleine is actually in labour she will be at her brother's wedding. She may or may not choose to attend part of the reception. As to the media? Let's hope they are all fixated on the guests ensemble's, and who among them (as well as the bride) could be pregnant! Not that they're all that shallow . . . :D

I think she will be overwhelmed though: heavily pregnant with heels and tiara, plus a little child who is going to stir up during the mass...:D

Why would you take a toddler to a wedding
Estelle was Leonore's age when Madeleine got married... and she was present at the ceremony, so I don't know but I think M&C will bring their daugter along... I might be wrong though:ermm:
