Princess Adrienne will be christened at Drottningholm Palace Chapel on Friday 8 June 2018.
After the christening service, a reception will be held for invited guests followed by a lunch.
Archbishop Antje Jackelén will officiate, assisted by Chief Court Chaplain Bishop Johan Dalman and Pastor of the Royal Court Parish Michael Bjerkhagen.

The christening gown worn by Princess Adrienne during the ceremony was first worn by Prince Gustaf Adolf when he was christened in 1906. The gown was also worn by Gustaf Adolf's siblings (Sigvard, Queen Ingrid, Prince Bertil and Carl Johan) and by Prince Gustaf Adolf and Princess Sibylla's children, namely the Princesses Margaretha, Birgitta, Desirée and Christina, as well as The King.
The gown was also worn by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Madeleine, Princess Estelle, Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas, Prince Oscar, Prins Alexander and Prince Gabriel.

The water for the christening is taken from a spring on the Swedish island of Öland, a tradition that was started by the present King and Queen. The Crown Princess, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Madeleine, Princess Estelle, Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas, Prince Oscar, Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel have all been christened in spring water from Öland.

The Princess Couple chose the following godparents for Princess Adrienne:

They broke the pattern. Leonor and Nicolas had 2 family and 1 from each parent. Anouska is the only family member this time. I was hoping to see Daniel and perhaps one of Chris' paternal sisters finally.

Nader: American financier. childhood friend of Chris
Gustav Thott: just married Louise Gottlieb (Leonor's godmother)
Charlotte: close friend of Madeleine, her sister Caroline is one of Victoria's closest friends. Their parents are long time friends of the queen and king.
Natalie: long time friend of Madeleine
Coralie: jewelry designer, said to be friend of both Madeleine and Chris

Expressen's Elias Giertz just updated that he just got the information Estelle is sick and couldn't attend. Estelle arrived to Drottningholm to the ceremony but became ill.

The ambassadors of the Nordic countries are always invited, this time also the ambassadors of USA and Britain because Chris is their citizen. And the ambassador of Botswana, who maybe is the longest in Sweden serving ambassador, who is always invited.

I really like the swedish royal family but on terms of behavior Madeleines children are really not well behaved. Maybe thats how they are raised (to run around and not been told off by parents) but at public events they could behave better. Can’t think of one occation where estelle or oscar showed this kind of behavior like leonore and nicolas. Even little Alexander nows how to behave.
And one last note on little Nicolas - being carried in and out - no further comment.
Thats just my opinion.

Svensk Damtidning tells that although Estelle arrived to Drottningholm with her parents and brother, the court tells that it was already then decided that she will not come to the christening.

I think especially Leonore shows very undisciplined behaviour. No shoes and does not want to pose for pictures. These are the basics that IMO she should have been taught. My almost 2-y old knows better when he can run around and when he just needs to sit it out [emoji3]

Tradition. Royal christenings is a state occassion in Sweden. Not a private affair like in UK.

Some parent's think it's cute when their children don't behave. They may simply pick their battles with their kids. Them acting up in church is not a problem , some think they are children let them do whatever. I don't feel that way they need to know how to behave period.

Gifts to Adrienne:

Speaker Urban Ahlin and prime minister Stefan Löfven delivered the gift of the Riksdag and the government: children's books with Swedish songs and a ukulele.
From her duchy Blekinge Estelle got a playroom, story-inspired room, which should be accessible to everyone
The playroom is made to the famous Grevagården - Wachtmeister palace - at Blekinge Museum in Karlskrona.
- This is a christening present on behalf of all children, something that should be available to children to play and get knowledge and understanding of our history, states governor Sten Nordin in a press release.
