the athletes with the cameras make it much more casual... not a bad thing, just remembering how the opening ceremony entrance was always more formal and the closing ceremonies were the more casual. with all of the athletes with their cameras, they don't stay in the lines. its always a joy to watch the parade of the athletes.

Just spotted Andrew and his daughters in the audience as Belgium came past (I know, I am behind but I paused it for a bit.) Is Andrew part of the committee? I also saw The Duke and Duchess of Kent, are they members?

Are the VIPs seated in alphabetical order of such perhaps? I swear I just saw the canadian representatives shake hands with the chinese.

Usain Bolt chewing gum and looking arrogant as ever.

And as for the corgi's;

Palace sources tell me the two corgis featured in Olympic film were the Queen's-Monty,13, who used to belong to the Queen Mum and Holly, 9

I love all the "Royal" tweets. What I also love is the competitors coming in and taking photographs on their phones.

I am looking forward to Great Britain as a friend from my primary school days is in the rowing team.
