Fair play to Gary Barlow for being there toniht given his child was stillborn last week just a few days before its due date.

I think it's a phoenix. Would go nicely with the overall theme.

Makes sense now. I think the cauldron would have looked better like it was a few moments ago, layered not up right.

Okay. It was a party for the athletes, it was not a closing ceremony for me. The best bit was The Who and the several athlete/gamemakers montages.

The athletes are the stars, they are the Olympics and I will miss watching it.

Roll on the Paralympic Games in 16 days!!!!
