You are right. For instance, Mr. Hoketsu, who is 71, qualified to be in the Japanese Olympic team and competes in the individual dressage in London.

Is Zara competing in any of the other equestrian events coming up within the next week? How do these work? These are individual events... same participants? is the slate wiped clean or do they inherit their scores from this round of events? any information is appreciated

MichelleQ2, You've got Eventing, Jumping and Dressage. All three of them have individual teams and participants.
Dressage starts Thursday!

I've been watching Equestrian events since I was a kid...there are still riders competing in top shows (jumpers/dressage/cross country) now across the US that I started watching around the age of 12 or so...I'm almost 46 so that gives a idea of how long competitive riders can go.

Absolutely, equestrian riders go on a long time if the good horses keep coming. The Whitaker family is a good example of young and old competing.

Yes apparently som the media also made a point of saying she would do so without any extra security apart from that provided to all athletes.

After Munich, the security was extremely increased for the athletes. Then after Atlanta, it increased across the board.

Princess Nathalie just completed her round, she rode really well.
Score 74.954
Rank 8

After Princess Nathalie's ride, the team rank's 1st place, there is one more rider to go. Hopefully they manage to stay in the top spot.
