I've seen pictures now (unfortunately, no live coverage) - and you are definitely right; it was Peter.

ah - misunderstood - but IA you'd think they could tell William from not. Even if they said Harry and a friend. Its one thing when the American broadcasters dont know who they are - but the DM covers the royal family as the regular beat and they always seem to miss the ids
also Sarah is there with Beatrice and Eugenie.

The DRF hosted a reception for the Danish athletes onboard Dannebrog and that led among other things to this group photo: Billed-Bladet - Kongeligt gruppebillede på kongeskibet i London

We got a brief glimpse from a distance of the royals at the veladrome (sp?)on NBC's broadcast, and I could've sworn it was William with Harry. Strong Windsor genes I guess.

It's actually good to see Sarah with Eugenie an Beatrice. She's kept a low profile for awhile. Plus, I think she looked nice- she's aged, but I think it suits her.

William is back at RAF Valley at work AFAIK. He will not be attending any more events. Carl Gustaf is in the stadium sat behind Lord Coe and Sir Roger Bannister.

After seeing the pics above I had the same thought...there's definately a resemblance between Peter and William.
