Errr! wrong! She made a face like she didn't understand or didn't know how to answer and said: "Je suis christian" and then PPDA said: "chretiene?" and then Charlene said: "yeah..." (like whatever). A proof that Charlene doesn't speak it very well. I mean, c'mon! When she was trying to speak french there were subtitles in french! Because it wasn't understanble what she was saying (or trying to say)

Probably Charlene will convert, but for now, she seems like she is protestant.

Hi Mermaid...the so called non-denominational churches may of course CALL themselves that...but in belief and practice they are Protestant.

They do not observe Catholic feasts or Holy Days such as the Assumption of the Virgin on Aug 15.

Most if not all of them are Sola Scriptura (they accept only the New Testament for doctrinal authority)...even Catholic evangelicals reject Sola Scriptura. It is a Protestant doctrine that was unheard of before the Reformation.

The so called non denominational churches do not accept Seven Sacraments as valid, as do Catholic and Orthodox.

Again, though they are indeed Christian, they are PROTESTANT Christians in both belief and practice.

Yes, I know they (the non-denominational churches) are Protestant. I was making the point that there are churches that don't fit into the standard Protestant denominations: Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, etc.

Most Protestants recognize both the Hebrew and Greek scriptures as being authoritative; but some, as you say, concentrate on the New Testament only.

BTW I'm familiar with ecclesiastical history and the differences between Roman Catholicism, Othodoxy, and Protestantism.

Not all Brits are Anglican, my father's family came from England and are Roman catholic. It is my mother's family that is protestant. Anglicans make up about 3.8% of the SAfrian population, not a very large number. Pentecostals, Zion Christians and Roman catholics have more, and 36% is unspecified Christian denominations.

The newspapers are announcing wrong news to sell papers, it is like when there was news in november (specialy in Italia) which said that Charlene was waiting a child it was a false new as we know . The ceremonies will be take place in Monaco as it is announced on the official page of the palace. The wins which will be served at the wedding dinner will be south African and they will be served at a privat dinner that the couple will give in South Africa when they will be there after the wedding

the rumour mill....has a lot of time on their hands..they circulate news and gossip. The gossip around PA and Cw is really not serious.... or credible so it is unlikely that it will be dignified with a response

I am resding a very serious biographie on the life of Princess Grace I liked a lot when she was alive. At the moment of the civil wedding, Prince Rainier said her,' don't be worry, I will be very serious, I will not look at you, I will have a strict face because prince sorereign cannot show what he is feeling
At the religious wedding, Grace Kelly asked why she had to enter the first in the cathedral before the Prince Rainier, and the head of protocole said her that a prince must not wait somebody. and she entered with her father before the prince Mr Kelly did not leave her daughter waiting with her the arrival of the prince. It is a nice history. I asked myself if it wiil be like with Charlene because the documentary on Point de Vue said: arrival of the princess on the right allée and arrival of the prince Albert on the central allée (1,80 m)
It is the first wedding of a prince sovereign or a king we will watch until the wedding of King Beaudoin of Belgium and king of Sweden They came into the cathedral together. It is a quesstion I asked myself will Charlene wait the prince or like other royal wedding will she arrive the last one with her father ?

There where 2 other marriages of reigning monarchs after King Baudouin.
In 1964 King Konstantine II. of the Hellenes and Princess Anne-Marie of Denmark who was escorted in the Church by her father and in 1976 King Carl XVI. Gustaf of Sweden and Silvia Sommerlath who arrived together with her parents at the Church but walked in together with the King.

I think times have changed, royal can now show emotion, and many princes have waited (and for a long time) for their commoner brides. If Albert does come in last, I believe it'll prove that he is a pretentious snob, who's living in the early 1900's.

I did not remenber of the wedding of King Constantin of the Hellen perhaps becauses the couple lived in exil. For the emotion or showing it own feelings, Prince Rainier was shin, I do not think that prince Albert is snob, but in Frnace, we always say that french people are more reserved to show their feelings than the american people. We think that our privat feelings belong to us and sometimes it is hippocrit when we saw the president Clinton or president Kennedy taking always the hand of their wife while they had lover mistrss behind the walls.Showing his feelings in public is not a proof that it is true,

The Palace can only inform what they will arrange in Monaco and not in South Africa. I can expect that if Charlene is not a member of a Catholic Church she will have a ceremony in the church of her Christian nomination in her hometown in her country? Or if her friends and relatives will arrange a party to celebrate the marriage?

Prince Albert said there was a changing date of the wedding because there will be tie ioc which will take place in Durban and he wanted that the first official travel of the future princess was reserved to her native country, I think there will be a privat dinner for friends of Charlene and Albert. I think He has also south africa friends because Charlene said to the radio 702 when she was in SA that they met again in 2005, a mutual friend invited them at a party,

At this point I don't think anyone knows when they reconnected because according to you from Stahls book it was after Prince Rainier died she sent him a letter of condolence. The party according to all other sources was New Years the year is in question.

I doubt royals do things the way commoners would. Perhaps there will be a dinner, but there won't be a ceremony. Prince Albert is a catholic monarch, he is not about to have a protestant ceremony in South Africa.

I agree with you. I think it might even risk offending the Monagasques.
If CW is wise, she will stick with having a celebratory banquet in her homeland, without a second ceremony.
