As much as I wanted to see the civil ceremony live, I know we will see videos and photos later. There will probably be a bootleg uTube video within a couple of hours.

Today would have been a snack, but tomorrow is the main course.

The most frustrating thing is that until the last moment it hadn't even occurred to me that it might not be possible to watch it live :(

Maybe UStream hasn't been used before to broadcast such a big event. You would think though that with a budget of 60 million, they would've thought about that before! Or maybe they want to retain the image that Monaco is for privileged people only and thus you have to be V.I.P. to view the ceremony.

I can see the point of restricting streaming to Monaco territory. It is a proprietary event.

Is it on your tv, Charlotte Aster? I'm on this channel's official page but obviously they won't broadcast the ceremony live online.

no no it's not old footage. they are actually live in front of the palace where A&C will wave at the crowds. so there's at least a good chance to to see that live.

I'm trying to find a live stream on ARD and ZDF. At least I found the first article:

Monaco hat eine neue "FŘrstlady" - Royalty - Monaco | DasErste.de

So far no luck finding a stream on ARD's site but I did find out that ZDF is airing the ceremony on their site later this evening (at least that is how I understood it).

They just showed Charlene saying yes ("oui") and Albert grinning broadly. So the deed is done and Monaco has a new princess. About time, I'd say.

The online page of ZDF is supposed to be here, isn't it? And the live streaming, too.

Yeah, they do that in general with all their news stories. Every half an hour they broadcast the same thing.
