Became Emir in 1995 when he overthrew his father Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad in a bloodless coup.

Qatar buys Cézanne's The Card Players for more than $250 Million - the highest price ever paid for art | Mail Online

The Royal family of Qatar has purchased Paul Cézanne painting, The Card Players, for more than $250 million (£158.4 million), setting a new world record.
The deal, for the post-impressionist masterpiece, beats the previous high of $140 million (£88.7million) paid for a Jackson Pollock in 2006.
The sale for the piece is believed to have taken place in 2011.

What do Qatari Monarchists think of todays revelations regarding the leaked emails of Asma Al-Assad, and particularly those between Asma Al-Assad and Sheikha Mayassa Al-Thani that more than suggest a very close friendship between the Assad's and Qatari Royal family?
I was upset and very dissappointed by this?
Will any of these email detailed revelations matter or be of concern to the Qatari people, or even the Al-Thani family?

Sheikha Hind is married.
A few articles did mention the Qatar Emir & Sheikha Mozah will be traveling to Jordan on a private visit (not date was mentioned when this would take place).

It's sheikha jassim bin hamad bin khalifa. He is the son of the emir and former cp. I don't see the picture of him and sheikha buthania. I just see the picture of sheikh jassim with his parents on his wedding day.
