I think it is a smart move. The interest in him will never go away, and they know that. The hard it is to get pictures, the harder the apps will try to take them. Give a little, get a little (peace).

I don't know about the other mommies, but seeing that cute little chunky monkey makes me want to carry a little baby around again!

He is definitely high on the "pinch factor" isn't he. I am really looking forward to seeing him on his next international trip to Australia and New Zealand.

George is w/out a doubt one cute and adorable lil guy. Judging by how big he is in these pics, it would not shock me to see him turn into a very tall boy and young man. He reminds me of my Cousin Julia at that age and she's a very slender and tall young lady now entering her pre Teens.

Here's hoping for some new official pictures soon!!

The editors of the swedish newspapers, magazines and tabloids told after Estelle was born, that when they get "normal" photos of Estelle from Victoria and Daniel quite often, they don't publish any paparazzi photos of them and don't run after them while they are out at the Haga Park. And that is why the paparazzis don't harass Victoria, Daniel and Estelle in Sweden, because the swedish press will not publish those photos. Last year when they were on a holiday in Spain, they were followed by the paparazzis and left home earlier than planned.

The media will be able to drop this holiday story once William and Catherine start up their official engagements this month.

I think there was fuss about the bikini pics from Mustique, CH noted that 'privacy was violated', if I recall correctly.

I dont think there will be any complaints about these pictures, Kate looks quite happy to spot the photographers. Maybe they even tipped somebody off - hello always walks the line when it comes to the Cambridges - because they thought it was time to show George again, and there is no other event in sight.

I'd like to see some photos of George when he's not sedated. Poor little thing was like a sack of rocks.

I'm sorry sedated? Press reports say he woke up after sleeping the entire flight.

The topless pictures were taken in France.

The bikini pictures were taken on the island of Mustique, where privacy is assumed because it's advertised as being so. That's the difference between these recents shots and the Mustique shots.

george is rather adorable indeed in his little hat and onesie. i can't wait to see how grown up he will look in the NZ trip.

i guess having george in such a distant place from the UK is far from being guaranteed, so i bet kate's family will be delighted to have him round.

wow, are all those people from kate's entourage? or maybe they are just other passengers of the flight getting after kate? such a huge amount of people.

it looks like the villa they rented is 8500 pounds/week, which is not that much when compared to what the press reported (20000 pounds/week).

Most people don't sedate their infants; seems unlikely that Catherine would.

According to this website, http://www.ckimgroup.net/browse-villas ,anything up from a villa with 2 bedrooms is £13,000+ and considering there were potentially 6+ we're looking at a £19,000 villa for Carole's 59th.

Catherine travelled with her family possibly, haven't seen them, bodyguards but no entourage.

Which pictures are you referring to? He's seven months old--Did you want him to do the hula? Or crawl across the tarmac? Or peddle pop rocks to the photographers?

She travelled with James Middleton and 2 police officers, including the female officer assigned to her from the beginning - the one with long dark hair who sat in the fron of the wedding car in a big hat! Think she's been on maternity leave.

Hi Duchess of Durham.

Plenty of "fuss" about last year's Mustique photos.

Not published by British magazines as too soon after the topless and bottomless French photos, and the Las Vegas naked photos, but well "discussed" in the UK - and everywhere else - at the time.

St James Palace stated those photos were a "clear breach of privacy" and "we are disappointed".

ITV show "This Morning", with Eamon Holmes and Ruth Langford, accidently showed the cover of Italian magazine "Chi" - with Catherine on the beach in Mustique, four months pregnant in a blue bikini - but didn't black out the image.

Millions of British breakfast viewers saw what they weren't supposed to - and there were many complaints.

The TV host had to make a grovelling apology to try to stem the damage.

The Duchess of Cambridge was quoted in the media as being "in agony" over them.
(Don't know the source of that, but widely reported.)

That's why some people are saying there is a "controversy" about this year's airport photos -

- that "the gloves are off now", (that it is now ok to publish photos that aren't anything to do with official duties).

-"it's more about image control than privacy", (not pregnant, no bikini, nice mother and son shots).

I think "Hello" is not only laughing all the way to the bank, but has opened a can of worms for the publication, in Britain, of future "private" moments that get photographed.

(Not a problem elsewhere in the world as we already get them, but may have set a precedent for the UK.)

Best Wishes All, Sun Lion.

According to Victoria Arbiter, Hello asked permission to publish these and because of security reasons, delayed publication.

I asked if the request may have been the reason for giving permission, ie asked, showed they the photos, they took advice and then agreed. This would have been more to the royals' liking. It was only a question on my part but its possible she says

She is a reliable source of information. Here is a link to her blog about the publication of the Hello! article.
