:previous:Thank you for sharing this news cepe. Based upon items that I've read on various discussion sites, there seems to be a misconception that William has little or no interest in management the Duchy of Cornwall.

One thing I've learned over time being here and reading what's going on here and there is that the term "cross that bridge when we get to it" does not apply to the BRF. This family is a stickler for being prepared and being able to easily cope with whatever may come.

Its easy to pin the label of "not interested" on William as very little in regards to his upcoming role of the Duke of Cornwall has made it to the front pages and the public eye. He is being groomed for that role just as much as he has been being groomed since childhood to prepare him for his destiny. We've just not seen it happening.

The devils and angels both are in the details. Now, if we could just get people to pay attention to the details.

Prince William was looking his dapper best as he arrived at the Imperial War Museum on Thursday.

The expectant father was decked out in full black tie in order to attend the the City Veterans Network third annual dinner in aid of the Defence National Rehabilitation at the famous museum this evening.

The Duke of Cambridge, 35, greeted crowds of glamorously dressed guests as he stood on the red carpet at the entrance to the musuem in London.

:previous: I haven't clicked on it but if that snippet is anything to go by, DM has missed the point.

As has the Daily Express. The headline is George, all the pix are George but the story is about something else.

Looks like the Editor, Headline writer and picture editor all failed to read a good story about why William was there, and the wonderful replacement for Hedley Court.

It's a great story re wounded veterans. Worth reading

(and don't get me started on the link title)

It is a stupid title-the DNRC deserves better. Much better. The importance of the care they provide is immeasurable. That said, the Duke of Cambridge looks terrific and very relaxed.

If you get passed the titles, you might actually be surprised. :whistling:

They are actually well written, well for their usual quality. And are actually about the charity and what they are raising money for. The DM as usual has wonderful pictures of the event, not of George. But both articles talk about the Duke of Westminster (the late one) and about the facility being built.

The reality is they make dramatic titles to get clicks. If it gets more people to click and read, mentioning George in the title, well at least more people will be reading about the charity. Misleading but serving the purpose.

Or people see the title and don’t read the story and go off to complain on Twitter which is what happened with the Tusk dinner and non factual population headline. At least with a George quip people might click more and stay for the rest.

Until this post, I didn't know that this William Shawcross is the same guy that wrote the authorized version of the Queen Mother's biography. :D

From CC 28th November

The President of the Federal Republic of Germany and Mrs Elke Büdenbender visited The Queen this afternoon and remained to Luncheon.

The Duke of Cambridge was present.

(This might belong in BRF Current events)

:previous: Yes it was shared in the British Royal Family Current events today.?

Thank you Lady Finn for sharing the translations and the links to the articles. ? Not surprised to see that one of William's first engagements includes an organization that links sports with support for disadvantaged youth.

William and the President of Finland are fashion twins today.

President Sauli Niinistö and mrs Jenni Haukio host the dinner for William at the President's residence Mäntyniemi. The finnish press is mostly interested in our pregnant First Lady (only a week to the Independence Day reception). There are about 50 guests at the dinner.

At the YLE News it was told that about 50 people waited for William to arrive to the Presidential Palace when his visit started.
