Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the events listed in the Court Circular ones that are approved by HM, The Queen and they're representing the Crown? If so, even if William and Harry were patrons, it wouldn't be an "official" engagement but rather one of their own personal endeavors.

I think it depends on in what capacity royals attend events. If William attended in a private capacity then it wouldn't be in the CC. If he attended formally then it would. This event has always seemed to be about friends and family attending a carol service.

It is a recognised patronage. He and Harry are Joint Patrons and it is on the list on the royal website.

News: HRH The Duke of Cambridge Congratulates Cofton Primary JPA pupils #RoyalVisitBrum

His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge has congratulated the first primary schoolchildren in Birmingham completing a new award scheme in his name.

The Duke spoke with 14 pupils from Cofton Primary School in Centenary Square, Birmingham city centre on Monday, December 7th, as part of a broader visit to the city.

The group are the first primary age pupils in Birmingham to take part in the SkillForce Junior Prince’s Award – the only one in The Duke’s name – which equips nine to eleven-year-olds with the skills they need to succeed at school and in life.

Aimed at primary schoolchildren and those in the first year of secondary school, where the transition can be challenging, the new award scheme is being rolled out at schools across Great Britain after being launched by The Duke of Cambridge in Yorkshire last year.

We were truly honoured that HRH Duke of Cambridge returned for the third consecutive year to visit a St Basils scheme, as part of a series of engagements in Birmingham yesterday.

St Basils is the largest agency in the West Midlands helping young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

HRH Prince William first visited St Basils in 2013 to commend Birmingham as the first City to commit to work together to End Youth Homelessness

Wales played Ireland in Ireland. He definitely was not going to that one. England plays Wales at Twickenham on March 12. Maybe he goes to that one instead of going to Cardiff.

Wales are at home at the (newly renamed) Principality Stadium - to Scotland. Be great to see him there

I think KP would announced by now if he was going. When he goes to Wales there is more than just the match usually a event for the injured players fund. They went to the oil refinery before the one match when Kate was pregnant. If he goes to London to watch he can just watch. In Cardiff he has to go as the Vice Patron so the helicopter trip is justified thus KP announces engagements before match.

so maybe him and Harry at Twickers!

Couple of Articles about how William is to launch a campaign on mental health issues affecting young men

From the article:
The young man was reduced to such despair that suicide seemed the only way out. When the Duke of Cambridge and a medical team reached him by helicopter, he was still clinging to life. Despite their efforts, he died.

Another day in the life of the East Anglian Air Ambulance. For Prince William, however, that mission early in his air ambulance career — and there have been others like it since — helped to persuade him that suicide by young men is such a serious problem that he wants to take action.

This spring he is to launch a campaign on mental health issues affecting young men. According to insiders his interest was generated by the wave of stories a couple of years ago about young gay men who had committed suicide.

In the Times article it mentions at the end "and three more overseas trips later in the year"

.Having witnessed first-hand the tragic aftermath of suicide, Prince William is set this spring to join wife Princess Kate and brother Prince Harry to launch a three-pronged campaign on mental health, a royal source tells PEOPLE.

William, 33, was confronted by male suicide when flying missions for his air ambulance charity: In some of those early missions with East Anglian Air Ambulance last summer, William transported medical crews to the aid of men whose despair led them to take their own lives.

It's also understood that William, who has been aware of the depression and other problems facing young people through his work with homelessness charity Centrepoint, has also been alarmed by the suicides of young gay men. Outlander Will! Prince William Supports Scottish Heroes

I really liked the connection in the title of the article tying William to the Outlander series by Diana Galbadon when talking about Scottish history. Although fiction, these books really are very well researched in bringing history alive of Scotland in the 1700s and later in the colonies.

The Earl of Strathearn is forming more ties with Scotland which I am glad to see.

Oh I adore this series! It really is a gem. Glad Will likes it and is using it to bring Scottish history into conversation.

That's a good match for William with what happened to his mum. He will have instant credibility.

Fitting that the boy who wanted to become a police officer can now be the patron of one of their charitable organizations.

With respect, how does having list a parent, but still having a loving family around, give William instant credibility?

He lost his mum in an unexpected accident. The fund helps children of London police who deceased or incapacitated who can't contribute materially to family upkeep (that's from their website). So some of these kids would have lost a parent in a unexpected way in the line of duty. I sure that as patron, William will meet with the kids that benefit from the fund and discuss their lost police parent. William has been in a similar circumstance and like when he visits the Child Bereavement charity and talks to kids who lost a parent.

I can't find anything on the website for the charity that says you have to be an actual orphan with no parents left- just a child of police person who paid into the fund who died or is on pension and is incapacitated.
