The Duke is attending The Prince William Awards graduation ceremony

Quote:
The Duke of Cambridge was given a rather tongue-in-cheek introduction as he kicked off his day of solo engagements in the West Midlands.

William began his the day at the University of Birmingham, where he attended the first National SkillForce Prince William Award Graduation Ceremony.

The ceremony, hosted by David Walliams, played host to 146 students from 62 schools.

In his opening speech, the Britain's Got Talent judge quipped: 'He's not the ginger one, he's the other one.

'But he is the most important one - even though George Clooney didn't show up to his wedding.'

Could the Prince William Award be the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award of the future?? By using former military staff from @SkillForceUK in primary schools, the award gives children confidence skills, helps them grow in stature and grow the person. Head teachers speak very highly of it

I doubt it will replace the Duke of Edinburgh Award,* but it can certainly complement it.

*(hasn't Edward been pretty involved with the DoE Award on the assumption that he will continue it after he becomes DoE?)
