The Duchess of Cambridge and Sporting Patronages

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
It just makes realize even more how there are things going on behind the scenes that we never see or hear about. I would imagine that if it had just been a meeting without the reception, we wouldn't have caught wind of it.

Yes we would in the same way as it is one of her patronages - via the Court Circular. The CC is full of "meetings"

It looks like Kate is doing the stuff she missed in the fall when she was sick which is nice.

Kate seems to have got away without splashing paint on her coat. She said she was painting with baby George yesterday. He loves painting.

Six months pregnant Duchess of Cambridge wears elegant coat to show off her blossoming bump | Daily Mail Online
She showed off her musical skills courtesy of a ukulele session at a London school on Tuesday and today, the Duchess of Cambridge was back on creative form as she turned her hand to painting.

Kate, who showed off a noticeably larger baby bump beneath her cream coat, was visiting the headquarters of Ben Ainslie Racing in Portsmouth as part of her work with the 1851 Trust, which encourages young people to get involved in sailing.

The Trust's new building is currently under construction and includes a mural wall painted by children drawn from six local schools - and now the Duchess of Cambridge to boot.

What about wearing something else than a light color in order to avoid any splashing!?:whistling:

She isn't recreating a Jackson Pollock just a little bit on a sailboat. If she wore a dark colored coat, people would be complaining about that too.

Duchess of Cambridge arrives at Spinnaker Tower - Portsmouth News
THE Duchess of Cambridge has arrived at the Spinnaker Tower for a reception.

Kate Middleton has been to see the Ben Ainslie Race base at the headquarters of the 1851 trust in the Camber Dock, Old Portsmouth.

People gathered at the Spinnaker Tower in their hundreds to see the Duchess arrive by police escort. She was welcomed by floral gifts and stopped to greet the crowds.

The Duchess and Sir Ben Ainslie will meet community leaders, and ambassadors including teachers and students from City College, Southampton, who are building two specialist ‘Docking Rib’ boats to help with docking the America’s Cup boats in Portsmouth.

Her Royal Highness will also see a display of activities and exhibits in the tower’s viewing platform, destined for display in the 1851 Trust Visitor Centre.

If the day had consisted of her mainly participating in arts and crafts, I would definitely be questioning her decision to wear white. But since the paining was such a tiny part of one event, the white coat was fine.

I like how officials were looking out for Catherine when she tried the sailing winch simulator. She seemed to enjoy it a bit too much and had to remind herself that she's expecting, lol.

Haha, I love that she forgot she was pregnant :p Just because the whole world is focused on her bump every time she steps out doesn't mean she is thinking about it all the time :p

I like the story about the high visibility vests. Kate, George and Lupo all got one but none for Wills. You know he like - hey future King here, where is my vest. ?

Catherine looks so lovely, and happy. She's glowing. It's delightful to see her so hands-on, and painting with the children.

Perhaps Will is very bad at being the seeker playing hide and seek and the vests will make it a tad easier for him. Or perhaps his trusty white steed's eyesight is going south on him. There could be all kinds of reasons Will's family will need to wear the vest. :ROFLMAO:

I wonder how long its going to be before George catches on to this stuff and ask his parents "What did you bring me home from work today?" :)

She DOES look lovely, doesn't she? She's glowing with good health and energy. It looks as if the vacation did wonders for her, she seems very relaxed. She's finally settled into the pregnancy, and I hope the rest of it goes as well for her. :)

Do you think they take it home and use it? I would think they just save it with all their other gifts unless it's something extra. Although, that soccer shirt she said William wouldn't like... I can see her putting it on George just to tease William :p
